Good morning gang.

Mostly cloudy today with a chance of snow. We made it to the end of another week. TGIHCF.

Word of the Day Friday, February 15, 2013

obnubilate \ ob-NOO-buh-leyt \, verb;

1.to cloud over; becloud; obscure.

Origin:
Obnubilate , a late 16th century word, is a verbal derivative of the Latin nūbilus meaning "cloudy," though its closer ancestor, obnūbilāre means "to darken."

Good Morning CGs!

Supposed to be chilly here, too, with maybe some snow. They said overnight but there's nothing on the ground.

Looking forward to the weekend (or am I?). I have to pull the toilet in the master bathroom and figure out why it is still not working properly. No bathroom comments, Tommy! We think RR#2 threw something down there and it's clogging it. Tried a 3 ft toilet auger and that sort of helped but it's still not right. So I have to take it apart to figure out why. Not a big deal, just a PIA.

I'd like to work on the car, too, we'll see if that happens. And I have Skyfall waiting for me to watch, once again, we'll see if that happens....

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Morning guys....up early, no school, but I have cabinets to install today. Got home from P-T conferences and got all the tools together and loaded in the pickup. What do you do when you pay $60 to have something "overnight delivery" and it doesn't show? They "Guaranteed" me that they would be here. I'm so pizzed right now I could spit.

Wifey took one of the dogs to the vet. She's been acting a little strange and whining a little.(The dog too) Hope it's nothing major. The dogs are 8 years old this year.
Working on our tax papers. It's overcast and dreary outside. Great day for that type of project. I'm sure I'll have time to get into some other things as well. ..... As long as the phone doesn't ring ......

Ah, 'tis a sad day here. My "Little Green Truck" moves to her new owner today. She is a special vehicle to me as it was the first purchase I made to start the long process of rebuilding my credit after my divorce. Fortunately, she is just moving next door and my neighbor said I can borrow her anytime I need to. Sigh.

Hey Matt, I can relate to the toilet issue. I had one get clogged and couldn't snake it out or anything. Finally pulled it, took it outside and used the garden hose from the bottom. Out popped a jar of face cream. Still not sure how that got in there.

Cold and severe clear here...but its Friday and I am ready for the weekend...I think I will buy Skyfall also and watch it this weekend on the big screen....As I posted earlier I have been reading all the original Bond books this winter and they are a great read. Some of the first Bond movies with Sean Connery were good when they stuck to the original stories but the later ones in the 70's and 80's were too gimmicky for me. This new series with Daniel Craig is more to my liking...

Have to do some work and then I may just DNBFS and make and take off early today. I got a great boss....

Enjoy Guru's...

Ahh...the strange things that get flushed down the toilet thread.....one of my faves....

We had one plug up one time and no amount of plunging or coat hanger work would get it fixed. So I took it off and did what Ken said and there was my good Buck knife and sheath that must have fallen off my belt one day into the terlet....I had been looking all over for that knife...still have the knife but I uh did replace the leather sheath.....

Malo le ma'uli.

Happy Friday! We have a few days back in the deep freeze starting today. Oh, joy. Last night we spent a romantic evening looking at potential refrigerators to replace the one that crapped out yesterday, in case ours costs too much to fix. It figures, the 6-year-old fridge goes casters-up while the 25 and 15 year old ones work just fine.

Have a good day, folks!

WIFE VS. HUSBAND

A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word.

An earlier discussion had led to an argument and

neither of them wanted to concede their position.

As they
passed Tommy's -a barnyard of mules, goats, and pigs,

the husband asked sarcastically, 'Relatives of yours?'

'Yep,' the wife replied, 'in-laws.'

The Silent Treatment

A man and his wife were having some problems at home

and were giving each other the silent treatment.

Suddenly, the man realized that the next day, he would need his wife to wake him

at 5:00 AM for an early morning business flight.

Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper,
'Please wake me at 5:00AM.' He left it where he knew she would find it.

The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and he had missed his flight Furious, he was about to go and see why his wife hadn't wakened him,
when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed.

The paper said, 'It is 5:00AM. Wake up.'

Men are not equipped for these kinds of contests.

Putting a dent in the tax papers compilation pile for 2012. Most of it's done except for adding up all the medical. That's the biggest part of the paperwork folder so I anticipate a few hours on that. Then I'll be ready to give it to our accountant.
Just got a call about Precious, one of our dogs. She has spinal arthritis. Looks like we're all getting older around here. The dogs are around 8 1/2 y/o now. We could all use whatever meds they're gonna give the dog around this house. Whatever the meds are I know they won't be cheap. They never are. Well. I'm off to the vet

If you ask me, I'll go for a double shot of Jack and a beer chaser every time. Well, at least 10 times.

Just thinkin' about a shot makes me cringe, haven't had a shot of anything in 20 years.

Now, beer, beer is different, beer is the nectar of the Gods. Cars should run on beer.

I can't even remember how many times I had to pull over and check my tire pressure when drinking beer. I'd pull over, open the passenger side door, and bend over slightly as I checked the tire pressure. Besides ... You don't buy beer. You rent it .......

What is the malted liquor.(beer)
What gets you drunker quicker?
What comes in bottles or in cans?(beer)
Can't get enough of it,(beer)
How we really love it,(beer)
Makes me think I'm a man,(beer)
I can kiss and hug it,(beer)
But I'd rather chug it,(beer)
Fill my belly up to here,(beer)
I could not refuse a,(beer)
I could really use a,(beer)
Beer, beer, beer.

I can't remember how much I have had,
I drank a twelve pack with my dad, BURP!
That's my son the drunken manly stud,
I'm proud to be his bud,
Here have some pretzels,
No!
I'll call it quits,
Those things give me the Schlitz!

Drink with your family,
Drink it with your friends,
Drink till you're fat,
Stomach distends,
Beer is liquid bread it's good for you,
We like to drink till we spew,
EW
Who cares if we get fat,
I'll drink to that,
As we sing once more.

What is the malted liquor,
What gets you drunker quicker,
What comes in bottles or in cans (beer)
Can't get enough of it,(beer)
How we really love it,(beer)
Makes me think I'm a man,(beer)
I can kiss and hug it,(beer)
But I'd rather chug it,(beer)
Fill my belly up to here,(beer)
Golly I adore it,(beer)
Come on dammit pour it,
Do it for me,
Brew it for me,
Feed it to me,
Speed it to me.(beer)

The most wonderful drink in the world.
Hooray
