Good morning gang.

Nice out this morning but still cold. We should have plenty of sun today with highs in the teens.

Lets get going.

Word of the Day Wednesday, January 29, 2014

ugsome\ UHG-suhm \, adjective;

1. Scot. and North England . horrid; loathsome.

Origin:

Ugsome is from the Middle English word ugg meaning "to fear, cause loathing" which is probably rooted in the Old Norse word ugga.

Good Morning CGs!

Supposed to warm up today to 20 degrees. Can't wait, it's a heat wave.

After work today we are taking the kids downtown to watch Disney on Ice. We have gone the past couple years and they really enjoy it. If you get tickets on a non weekend night they are a lot cheaper, making the cost reasonable. Parking is free, too, so that doesn't ding the wallet.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Greetings! A little warmer here, too - +23, but the wind makes it feel like -15. No biggie, though - tomorrow's forecast says 82. Never mind, that forecast is for Puerto Vallarta

Have a good day, yawlz!

Good morning, all.

An inch of snow last night and bitingly cold today in the Philadalephia area. Supposed to warm up to cilvilized over the next few days - we'll see.

I finally received the C7 launch book yesterday - it had been delayed a couple times. The launch books are a lot more whitewashed now than Schefter's wonderful, opinionated, sometimes unfair All Corvettes Are Red was about the C5. Still, I find the details they let slip very interesting: exterior process, interior design, tire choices, direct injection, etc.

they are actually saying 50 here today. It's going to have to be a huge turn around, as we started this morning at 5*. Was invited to a Stag tonight, but I passed. There's just too much going on this week and my "big ass" is dragging already.

Rumor has it that the last thing the buyer has to do is secure insurance for the house. Closing is supposed to be Feb. 4th. Hopefully we'll encounter no delays. Moving forward.

I can remember when the State was having it's Centennial back in 1961. I was eleven and the schools were making a big deal of it. I'm sure there were speeches made and food was served and all was rosy as we looked forward to the 2nd century in the Land of OZ...so far it seems to be working out I think.....

On this grey and drizzly day it appears that the most effective use of my time will be to take an afternoon nap. I can ponder the impact of my head upon a soft down pillow as I wrap myself snuggly in the inviting warmth of the sheets and comforter. There will be plenty of day left when I rise later. Tonight we entertain the local crime watch group on the patio. Tomorrow was supposed to be another fishing day in the Keys. Doesn't look too promising at this point. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
