Lets get going.

Howdy! Looks like a halfway decent day on tap, low 60's and maybe some sun. Hope we get something similar tomorrow, as golf league is supposed to start after last week fizzled out. I'm moving kinda slow today, as I spent much of yesterday battling with shrubbery. I think I eventually won, but have a few left to tackle.

Have a good day, Gurus!

Woke up to a balmy 33 degrees today. Heading for a blistering high of 53. It should be about 80 by Thursday.

I am contemplating mowing the yard this afternoon. I cut it once already and it is growing like crazy.

The search for an acceptable 'vette is progressing nicely. Looked at a couple over the weekend that were just outside of my price range. If I had a couple extra grand to add to the downpayment, it would be a no-brainer.

Have a great guru day !

Hola Guru's going to be 75 here and the phone has been ringing so gotta go get to work.

Here are the pics of Blue Coral wax job on the GS....siver is hard to get a good pic of especially with my phone. Do you guys remember Blue Coral wax from back in the day? What I used was Chadwicks Triple Play products and I think my search has ended for the perfect car shine....

What I like about the stuff is how nice it makes the black plastic parts look and the ease of application along with how it takes the bugs and road tar off. Its also killer on the chrome wheels.....click on those pics to make them bigger.....

Have a great day Guru's.....

That motor looks sick, Bill!

Marcus, I ordered some of the Chadwick's stuff yesterday - my car needs some TLC, so I figured I'd give it a whirl.

Last time I found a pile of rabbit guts, it was from a hawk that visits from time to time. I wish he'd make another appearance, as they've been breeding like, uh, rabbits.

It is a lovely day in Philadelphia. I'm back at work, having survived the Broad Street 10 Miler yesterday and posted a personal best time.

Good Morning CGs!

Up late last night. RR#1 woke up at 8:45 screaming in pain. Thought she had strep throat so off to the ER. Doctor said it was not strep but a viral infection. A painful one at that, too. She's off at school this morning, though.

Bill - I think that motor is out of Ken's price range.

Marcus - pics look good!

Sittin' in the garage on Friday, working on the racecar, I heard a very loud BANG........WTF?

Looked around for a while and couldn't figure it out.....until I hit the garage door opener. The door went up a foot and stopped.

Broken garage door spring.

Pain in the butt and I'm never thrilled about winding one.

And the opener had enough power to crack the door where the lift arm attached so, I guess I'm doing some welding today.

I had a door spring break and wound up buying a new door. The guy temporarily repaired my old spring by using a small U-clamp to tie the broken ends of the spring together. Worked like a charm and held up fine until the new door arrived. Those things are LOUD when they break, indeed.

Hope you like the Chadwicks Brad....I got a nice handwritten thank you on the bill of sale from Neil Chadwick. He says the 24 oz you get is more than enough to do your car 6 times.....I thought if some is good more is better so by the time I was done I used 12 oz on the car but you do use more the first time. Then it becomes a detailer each time you clean the car.

He also says you are supposed to use the product to wash the car with.....but my car was so filthy that I sprayed the dust off it with water before I started to use the products.

This is a torsional one on the shaft above the door.

Bill, plenty of room next to the valve covers on that engine to cook up some sausage wrapped in foil. Cook some lunch while you work on the car.

Had to load and drive up to Miami this morning. Traffic was not as bad as it could have been. On the way home it was like driving a race. (not Bill's kind of race) Using the side mirrors with the small convex mirror on bottom for determining clearance always adds an extra thrill. Got back at 11:00 so not too bad. Just ate a late breakfast and I'm thinking of going to listen to my pillow for awhile. Matter of fact I pretty much know I'm gonna go do an eyelid check. See how long I can keep them closed without blinking. My guess is an hour or two. Have to meet somebody at the nursery at 03:30. That's just about the right amount of time.

Nap drawback. You have to go through the wake up process all over again. Takes me awhile to fire on all cylinders when I go for a restart. Well there's another 2 hours of my life I'll never get back again.

I count slowly to 24 when I can't get to sleep - I just start over again if I get to 24 and am not asleep yet (since it would be somewhat pointless to start over if I am asleep). I don't know why I picked 24.
