Good Morning CGs!

So the car saga continues. Driving to work yesterday morning everything started off well. I have about a 25 mile drive each way. Got a few miles from work and the car started running like crap. Pulled up at a stop light and the idle surged like crazy and stalled. Tried to restart it and it wouldn't. WTF. Light turns green, still won't start (so of course people start honking right away). Finally got it to crank so I revved it and took off. Running like crap, I had to goose it the whole way to work. Pulled in the lot and let it idle, died. Turn it on, idle, die. Turn it on idle, die. Disconnected the maf, no change. Made sure dizzy was tight, no problem. Restarted it, idled fine.

Driving home similar running issues, lack of power and rough. Pulled the cap and check the rotor button, ok, checked the rotor, ok. Pulled the TB and cleaned the IAC, passages, butterflies, a little dirty but ok. Took it for a test drive and running better but still problems. So the only thing I can figure is the reason my car won't run right is the same reason Tommy won't run....bad gas. I filled up with midgrade the other day at the corner station - I don't normally use them, but their premium has always been good. I have about 2-3 gallons left in the tank. I am going to drain it, change the fuel filter, run some techron and new premium through it and see it that fixes the problem. I will also pull the plugs to inspect them.

At least the weather is supposed to be nice today.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Howdy! Drove the Vette again today, nice and sunny out. Well it is now - it was dark when I pulled out of the driveway.

Hope you figure it out soon, Matt - is your fuel pressure OK?

Enjoy your day, Gurus!

Geez Matt I hope you find out what is doing that....I would be suprised if it was the fuel though but you never know...run some Shell V power premium through it for awhile....costs more but nothing is to good for baby....

Its raining here today so we will be sending that on east for you all to enjoy later on....

I will work in the office and take some rainy day naps...

Have a day where you prosper in all things Guru's.......

Brad - checked the FP on sun night - it was good.

Marcus - surprisingly the midgrade was from Shell. I think it was just a bad batch.

It's a pretty nice day here, upper 70's low 80's. The breeze is out of the south at about 20mph.

I hope you figure out what the problem is Matt. Those things are frustrating.

Not much to report here, just another school day, with kids that can't do simple math, or proceed on their own without some prodding or encouragement from me. The kids today must be spoon fed, they won't make any attempt at doing something, that they MIGHT get or do wrong. They seem to have a real problem with making mistakes. I try to tell them that is the way you learn....make mistakes. I will allow you to make mistakes, even if I see it coming.

It's a dark and dismal day here in SoFlo. Let sonny-boy come over the house to do some laundry and take a shower. We'll chat a bit and see how he's progressing. Still living in his car with his dog. He's communicating with a few people trying to find shelter and other assistance. We'll see how it all works out over the next month or two.

That was my plan and had a job till I got stuck taking care of someone here in the nursing home... hate to say that in such a bad way but unless I can find some alternative seems my life is pretty ruined at the moment. I care about her but I have a life too and don't want any more of it wasted here. Other famiy don't seem to care.

No... she's 78.. ain't no way you're gonna get a 78 year old to uproot from everyone and everything they have ever known. She has plenty of people that visit her and stuff, she wanted to be at the home she is currently in. by mid December she should be on full Medicaid. Hopefully things might settle and I can just simply tell her - at that point she's taken care of and her bills are paid. She's 100% there mentally just can't walk and stuff. She told me once before to move but then If I miss a weekend visiting she bitches. She's got to realize she's not my mom or siter or anythig, she's a 2nd cousin and I have a life too. I hate to sound bad about it all and if I move I'll be 8 hours away. It's not like I can't come back if I have to once in a while. She has a best friend here that lives up the road that picks up her toiletries and things for her anyway so she don't need me for those things. Right now I'm her P.O. A. and pay her bills and stuff.
