Good Morning CGs!

So what would you be for Halloween (as an adult) if you got to dress up like the kids do? I don't know what I would dress up as. Maybe Tommy T-Bone. The kids would get really scared while I was passing out candy since they couldn't see my head.

So I stopped by my buddy's shop yesterday and looked at the toolbox. I didn't realize how large it was. Took out the tape - it's 54" wide and almost 30" deep. Holy crap. Went home and measured my garage spaces...I don't know where to put it...lol. I guess we'll find out tonight when my buddy drops it off.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Good morning gang.

That is a good problem to have Matt. I can always find room for a garage toolbox.

Looks like rain here today with temps declining all day. Started out in the 70's and will end up in the 50's.

Not much else going on.

Happy Birthday to Jonas Saulk.

Word of the Day Tuesday, October 28, 2014

poltergeist \ POHL-ter-gahyst \, noun;

1. a ghost or spirit supposed to manifest its presence by noises, knockings, etc.

Origin:

Poltergeist comes directly from the German word of the same spelling which entered English in the 1850s. The term comes from the German word polter meaning "to make noise, knock, rattle" and Geist meaning "ghost."

8 Monsters of Literature and Folklore.

Today is NATIONAL CHOCOLATE DAY

National Chocolate Day is celebrated annually on October 28. While there are many chocolate related holidays throughout the year, National Chocolate Day is a day to celebrate all things chocolate. As America’s favorite flavor, chocolate is well deserving of it’s own day of honor and celebration. ( Some sources designater July 7 or December 28 as “Chocolate Day” or “International Chocolate Day”)

HOW IS CHOCOLATE MADE?

Chocolate comes from the seed of the tropical Theobroma cacao tree. Cacao, which has been cultivated for at least three millennia, is grown in Mexico, Central America and Northern South America. The earliest known documentation of use, of cacao seeds, is around 1100 BC. The cacao tree seed have a very intense bitter taste that must be fermented to develop the flavor.

Once the seeds have been fermented, the beans are then dried, cleaned and roasted. After roasting, the shell is removed to produce cacao nibs. The cacao nibs are then ground into cocoa mass which is pure chocolate in rough form. The cocoa mass is usually liquefied then molded with or without other ingredients, it is called chocolate liquor. The chocolate liquor may then be processed into two components: cocoa solids and cocoa butter.
◦Unsweetened baking chocolate – cocoa solids and cocoa butter in varying proportions.
◦Sweet chocolate – cocoa solids, cocoa butter or other fat and sugar.
◦Milk chocolate – sweet chocolate with milk powder or condensed milk.
◦White chocolate – cocoa butter, sugar and milk but no cocoa solids.

RESEARCH HAS FOUND THAT CHOCOLATE, WHEN EATEN IN MODERATION, CAN LOWER BLOOD PRESSURE.

To celebrate National Chocolate Day, try one of the following “tried and true” recipes:

ENJOY YOUR CHOCOLATE TODAY!

NATIONAL CHOCOLATE DAY HISTORY

Our research has found that National Chocolate Day, an “unofficial” National holiday, was started by the National Confectioners Association.

You may have to knock out a wall and expand the garage to get it all in there Matt....just tell your wife you had too..

Tried to capture our one remaining barn cat to go get it fixed and just about had it in the pet caddy when it went berserk on me and cut me up like a piece of cheese and then bit me viciously on the hand....stupid damn cats.....$63 bucks later for a tetnus shot I am going to try it again today....I am ready to just shoot it but its the Mama Kitty that the kids all love......I do have some big thick gloves and opposable thumbs so should be able to get it done...

Got work to do so better go do it......have a nice day Guru's....

Morning guys...It's a cool start this morning. 35 right now. Supposed to be much cooler today. I get to work the "scholar bowl" after school today. Not really excited about it,but I'll do my duty.

Matt I've looked at some of those boxes and then started measuring and realized I don't have room for one like that in my garage. I hope you can find the space.

Got to head off, I'll check in later

I really don't mind cats as long as they are someone elses' and they keep them out of my yard. But if one did that to me Marcus, I would have killed it.

Marcus - maybe some thick leather welding gloves if you have a pair.

TB - I can find the space. Might not be ideal but I will figure something out.

I hate cats, my condolences. I used to have one I loved but then the strays around here have turned me against them. Skanky nasty things, they are. Got the back end of the motor home at the body shop nearly done yesterday. Was a beautiful warm day, now today it's much cooler and raining all day. The wrap at the motor home at my graphics job is about to start printing and I came in to a pile on my desk. Was hoping for a slow day of goofing off.

Howdy! Summer has left the building here - it was 60-ish the last few days, but gonna be a balmy 42 today. No biggie, I'll be indoors anyway, destroying the kitchen - today is pot roast and home-made noodles day. If I get any fuller than I was yesterday, I may have to put overload springs on the truck.

Cat mojo, Marcus, and hope the tool box fits, Matt!

The cat saga continues......trying to catch her this morning she took refuge up under my GS and is residing on the steel bumper up right under the drivers side tail lights. I can see her but can't reach her....I put snack out and she will eventually have to come down I started the car and she just stayed there....awkward....If she dies up there I would have to dismantle the rear of the car to get her out.....dumb bitch cat.....

....Cat saga ends....local residents rejoice.....2 men were able to subdue the errant cat and wrestle it into its travel caddy. Much cursing ensued but protective clothing on loan from the bomb disposal squad proved invaluable as the men would have been cut to ribbons without it.....The cat is now at the vet for a mandatory 10 day isolation before getting fixed.....more on this and other stories at 11:00......Go Royals!!!!

Typical Miami Dade County excitement on the next block over from us. Lot's of police activity. Detectives, uniformed units, multiple CSI units all on site. My guess is there is a body lying on the ground surrounded by the uniformed units and crime tape. As hard as I tried to sneak a peak from various angles, I could not see anything. I'll let you all in on the dirty laundry as soon as I find something out.

Crime scene update. Rumor has it homeowner notified of silent alarm. Surprised armed burglar. Bad guy had gun, homeowner stabbed robber. Robber in grave condition. He dropped about 50 yards from the house. Last known he was clinging to life. Officers standing by awaiting further instructions. Could move to a homicide investigation. Crime scene investigation is in full swing as it is. Back to the news desk. We've had some serious incidents around here of late. All of them involve outsiders. The police response has been high. I may have to go back to the gun shop and pick up a nice small carry piece just in case the trend continues.
