Good Morning CGs!

Looks like we got a light blanket of snow last night. Nothing major.

I was at HD picking up a few items yesterday and I bought a bag of rock salt for the ice. I was surprised how much the price went up. It was something like 7.50 for the bag of 50 lbs. I guess it's from the "salt crisis" last year where every town in Illinois (and surrounding states) ran out of salt and they couldn't get more because it wasn't available. Oh well, not like I buy a lot of it, just noticed the price went up.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

So............In the mail yesterday........I get a big, blue card from the Post Office.

It says: Don't forget! Mail your holiday cards and gifts by Dec.20th to insure they arrive by Dec.24th.

The supervisor for the Reno Post Office musta been sitting in a lounge chair the day before.

Only explanation I can think of.

That's funny Bill.....no wonder they are broke....

A comfortable 0 degrees out with sunshine not a lot of snow but its all in drifts due to the wind we had last night.....

Start taking down the Christmas stuff today.....didn't we just put it up?

Will work on the GS today....spent most the day yesterday working on the Pete... I like things a certain way so we are putting things right like air lines and a few other things. A lot of jury rigging on it by the PO's......the KW is a lot better in that regard.

Have a good Sunday off Guru's.....I heard a rumor that there is some football on....

No kidding where did all the Quail go......and the pheasants also.....too many old farmsteads have been cleaned out and planted to crops so there is very little cover left. Now if you want to hunt you go pay a guy who has stocked an area with birds he has raised and you shoot a few then go home.....its why I don't hunt anymore......

I've not even been deer hunting in 6 years or so - let alone duck - never been to hunt quail although they do quite a bit around here. I'll eat em if someone brings me some though - hint hint...
Sun looks like it's trying to come out today - would be nice to have my Vette to take to for my nursing home trip. My cousin and some of her pals up there enjoy seeing the car. The guys that can still get outside sometimes would go outside and check it out. My friend that owns the Ford dealership that looks after another lady there I think is hinting at trying to put me in a Rustang...
Ribeye in the oven then finished with a nice sear in a buttered skillet for supper last night with fresh avocado, cheesy rice, shirmp - some leftover ribeye with avocado and eggs this morning - happy Sunday all ;)

Greetings! There's a slight nip in the air - wind chill between 20-30 below 0. I am so looking forward to getting out there and shoveling some snow.

Have a good day, yawlz!

No longer broke. Turning a profit now. Big contract with Amazon. 7 day parcel delivery. Of course everything started tanking after I left the service. Glad they're finally able to recover.

NOBODY KNOWS! THERE ARE THEORIES OUT THE KAZOO, SOME REALLY OUT THERE, BUT THAT QUESTION IS STILL HANGING.

MY THEORY IS DISEASE AND TOO MANY 'COONS BOTH A RESULT OF CORN FEEDERS PUT OUT BY THE DEER HUNTERS. MY MAIN SPOT IN WESTERN OK HAS NEVER HAD ANY HERBICIDE AND NO PESTICIDE, APART FROM EAR TAGS, AND THERE ARE NEXT TO NONE THERE.

SOME SAY THE WILD TURKEY HAVE EATEN THE QUAIL :-0

Hey guys....we got up early and left early so we could adjust for bad roads. Roads were not terrible, but there were quite a few miles where we could not drive the speed limit. Daughter told us "Drive Safely", Rosie said "Your dad is a good driver". Daughter said "I'm not worried about dad, I worry about the other idiots". Well, about two hours out I had an idiot pull out into the passing lane to pass, just as we were going by. I had to lay on the horn and steer to the left onto the shoulder where it was snow packed and icy buildup. He pulled back in and flipped ME off. I don't think he ever looked. Other than that, it was pretty uneventful. Got about an hour away from home and the roads deteriorated for about 20 miles and I had to slow way down. We made it home in about 45 minutes longer than normal so it wasn't too bad.

It is cold, but as soon as I got stuff unloaded, I took it up to the car wash and put $7 in quarters in the machine and sprayed all the crap off the pickup so I felt pretty good about pulling it in garage.

Tomorrow I get to start back to school. Tomorrow is a work day for the teachers and the kids will be back Tuesday. We have basketball games Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, I have a mens group meeting Wednesday, so it will be a busy week.
