Good Morning CGs!

Sorry I missed yesterday, tied up with the kids and family stuff.

Not much going on here. I did get to drive the Vette to take RR#1 to the library and then get the propane tank refilled. Had BBQ last night and it was fantastic. Today will be cold and rainy. This weather is killing me...lol.

Gotta run.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Morning,
It's not 80º here either, but it was 81º here yesterday. Almost like spring. Cooler today, high in the 60s. We've had plenty of wind but it is suppose to be nice all week, mostly in the 60s.

I had a good report from the cardiologist last week. He said blood was flowing good and the heart efficiency (ejection factor) had increased by 10% up to normal range. He did say with all of the stents that I would probably have to continue on Plavix for a long time, maybe indefinitely. I don't need to see him for a year or 100,000 miles.

Have a good Palm Sunday and a joyous Easter.

Back from church. A bit longer than normal because of the reading of the passion. The wind is now blowing pretty good. Even though it is decent temperature-wise, the wind still makes it feel pretty cool. I'll be waiting for a while before I pressure wash the deck. Need to get it treated with something to extend the longevity of it.

Great news Don.

Howdy! We went to a restaurant with some friends last night, and they had a drink called "Brad's Anger Management". After 2 of those, I was cool, calm and collected. Meanwhile, we'll have some 50mph wind gusts today, so it may not be an ideal time to put up the new birdhouse that came in the mail the other day.

Great to hear, Don!

Tighten your chin straps, Gurus!

+1

Grey skies, windy and cool out here in the middle of the Caribbean. Slept in like a champ. Late breakfast. Already paid a visit to the bandit. He stuck me up .... again. Enjoying not having a schedule. Tonight is formal night but I feel like skipping the formalities. Not feeling suitlike right now. I'm pondering a nap. A nice nap sounds good. There are lots of activities onboard. Just not feeling motivated. Rest seems to be the order of the day. Grand Turk tomorrow. Probably go hang out at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville. We've been to the island twice before.

What a day yesterday was. We served somewhere between 600 and 700 people. That is a lot of pancakes. Got to visit with lots of old friends. I will do it again in November.

I made today productive by getting the Corvette out and washing it. Then I channel surfed between NASCAR, INDYcar, and NHRA. Now it is supper time.

Seriously considering putting a Washington DC trip together to see this: http://ww2flyover.org/

Only 73 here. I flew to Phoenix and drove back yesterday, high was 98F.

Planned out some backyard projects. We have a small 450 sf casita in the back of our 7000 sf lot that I'm making self sufficient and will need some fencing and concrete demo done. One thing I don't mind hiring out. And find somewhere to cram a small washer/dryer combo in it. At some point in the next year or so we will be living there while doing major remodel and 2nd floor addition to the main house. Looking through coastal commission fees and water meter rules for the added fixtures. Upping to a 1" meter may be required and at $10k in fees, I'm sure looking for a way around it. powder room may be a "closet" until after the inspector leaves, for example. I have a 1" main and don't use any damn water, and the codes are so antiquated, not accounting for low flow fixtures. Hell, the code tables for sizing pipes and meters weren't accurate in 1950 when they were published for that matter. Urinal will be added later too.

Hey guys, busy day. Got the deck pressure washed and then I talked Rosie into going to the 'bity' to purchase some semi-transparent stain to stain the deck. Brought it home and proceeded to put it on. 5 hours later it's basically done, a little touchup here and there. It was a gorgeous day, except for the wind. Made me tired though.
