I'm a little riley this morning. Don't know if it has to do with the internet news stories I read or I got up on the wrong side of the bed. I did get shorted on my sleep when I heard the sound of ice cubes filling a cooler in the kitchen. This usually means a heavy cooler must be brought out and loaded onto Sue's work truck. Not that she wouldn't do it herself but what kind of husband leaves his wife to do the heavy lifting. "You're welcome, honey.". Mimi the moo-moo (Yorkie) has a groomer appointment at 09:00 AM . I call her moo-moo because of her plump state. Is it politically incorrect to make fun of your dogs weight? I'm in the mood to fix a lot of things that have gone on for far too long in this mess of freedoms we call America. Everybody had better look out ........ or maybe later I should just slip in a nap instead.

Gemurregen!

Working from home again today - I had planned to go to the office, but when I woke up I didn't feel good. Gloomy and foggy out there, so it's good to be home anyway.

Have a good one, yawlz!

Morning guys....Had a mens group meeting last night, and after coming home from that Rosie was working on emptying the upper cabinets (she had done the base cabinets earlier this week. So the logical thing for me to do is, start removing the upper cabinets, right? So at 10pm last night I start taking down the upper cabinets. By midnight I had a little more than half of them down. Now, I could have done it the way they do it on TV and smashed them to smithereens, but, these are going to the #2 daughters house across town, so prudence was required. I have a couple little (paying) jobs to do this morning, so I'll work on those. And then this afternoon I have a dental check over in the "city", so I'll drive over there and our previous minister, who retired in July, moved over there and needs help with his internet, so I will stop and get him going after my check. Then I'll come home to continue taking cabinets out. Rosie says this evening she is going to start removing the 'popcorn texture' off the ceiling in the kitchen to prepare for a more modern look.

Tommy, the problem with you Darwin award candidate, he's already reproduced....twice.

SOUNDS LIKE THAT DARWIN BOY IS PERMANENTLY OUT OF THE RUNNING, NO MORE AWARDS FOR HIM.

A PRETTY DAY IN THE NATIONS, COOL & SUNNY. GOT TO CUT THE GRASS TODAY. LIKE TOMMY, I CHECKED THE NEWS AND THE ONLY BRIGHT SPOT WAS SOME JUDGE IN WEST TEXAS SHORTSTOPPED THE BEATIFICATION OF THE LESSER PRAIRIE CHICKEN.

AS A HISTORY BUG IT IS AMUSING TO COMPARE CHINA’S BIG TIME WWII VICTORY PARADE WITH THEIR ACTUAL PERFORMANCE IN THE WAR. THE JAPS KICKED THE KUOMINTANG’S ASS AT WILL. THE COMMUNISTS HAD A DEFACTO NON AGGRESSION PACT WITH THEM AND SAT BACK AND LET THE JAPS DESTROY THE NATIONALIST ARMY WHILE WAITING FOR THE END OF THE WAR TO MOP UP WHAT WAS LEFT. THE IMPERIAL JAPANESE ARMY WENT WHERE THEY WANTED TO GO AND DID WHAT THEY WANTED TO DO IN CHINA RIGHT UP UNTIL THE RUSSIANS INVADED MANCHURIA. CHINA WAS ESSENTIALLY A PUNCHING BAG THAT KEPT THE BULK OF THE JAP ARMY BUSY KILLING THEM WHILE CHANG AND THE KMT GANG SOAKED UP AMERICAN AID & MONEY. GLORIOUS VICTORY IN CHINA.

Yeah Tommy I saw that.....LP just won't go away.....he is such an idiot.....I thought the story was about how a woman is suing Oregon State U. and our new head coach Mike Riley who used to be their head coach for 7.5 million $. She says she was raped in 1999 and that Riley and OSU are responsible for failing to address a sexually violent culture among the football team. Yeah......here we go.....that was 16 years ago and she no doubt had something happen and she will get a nice settlement I'm sure.......but 16 years is a long time to wait......

Hot like the hubs of hell here today but we don't have a lot to do.....so may spend it in the air conditioned office........I'm smart......

Brad sorry you are feeling bad......much mojo on your quick recovery.....I recommend mini donuts and a straight shot of Johnnie Walker Black......for medicinal purposes only of course.....

Better get busy......more later from the Heartlands.......be cool Guru's....

Good Morning CGs!

Brad - hope you feel better soon.

Plugs arrived yesterday in the mail but by then I was not in the wrenching mood. In fact, I'm not now, either. Going to try to get them done after lunch. A workout seems more my style this morning.

Hope everyone has a great day!

BACK BEFORE TEXAS WAS YANKEEFIED, THERE WAS A STATISTICAL ANOMALY REGARDING THOSE WHO KILLED A RANGER: THEY WERE NEVER BROUGHT IN ALIVE. IN ONE NOTABLE EXCEPTION THE ARRESTING OFFICE WAS NOT AWARE OF WHAT HAD HAPPENED BEFORE THE ARREST. THE RANGER WAS VERY EMBARRASSED AND APOLOGIZED.

Today started out great with me driving the 72 to work. Beautiful day, tops off and I got a few nice comments about the car at the gas station while I was filling it up.

I go out to get in the car for lunch and it's leaked about half a gallon of antifreeze out on the ground... far as I can see it's the lower passenger side corner of the core on the radiator.

Got my buddy to drive and I picked up 2 gallons of antifreeze at lunch. I should be able to nurse it home on that.

I see Dewitts has mfgr'd some private label direct fit radiators for ZIP and at $399, it's less than a new copper/brass radiator for the car but more than an imported Champion which I used on the 79 (it works great).... I just want to put something a bit nicer on the 72 and don't mind spending a hundred or so more. Reckon I'm going to pull the trigger on one from ZIP. I know it's quality and ZIP is right down 95 in the Richmond area and I'll be able to have it in a few days.

Billy, you'd better dump that thing cheap before you get into some real trouble. I'll give you my car carriers phone number and they'll stop by and pick it up.

Get well mojo to you Brad.
Still busy with wraps but it's my last day to work here for this week. Not sure what's in store for me tomorrow at the other place.
Already had bitchy people in here - one ordered something, it was made to the size he provided, well he don't want it that way so has to be redone then he has the nerve to be hateful and say smartass things. I hate people.
Weather is nice here would like to be gone someplace for the holiday - everyone says "summer is over" - why do people rush summer to go away? I prolong that crap as long as possible. Just because the calendar says the month ends in "ber" or it's the "last holiday" or whatever, don't mean it's over with. We still have a month and a half of warm temps. ugh.

Evening guys...didn't get a lot done today. The little job before lunch. Then had to go to the "city", picked up a gallon of paint before the dental check. Then over to the former pastors house to setup his router. Then to Menards and HD to pick up some things for the undercounter lighting. Then I came home and started watching the Royals (kicked Detroit's arse bad). About 9:30 Rosie says she's going to start scraping the 'popcorn' off the ceiling.....yea, we know who was going to do it. So, being the Royals were kicking arse, I went in and started. 1 1/2 hours later the popcorn is gone. My shoulders neck and arms are in pain. I'm headed upstairs to take some Aleve and go to bed.
