TOMMY, I USUALLY HAVE A GUY WITH A TRACTOR & BOX-BLADE DRESS UP THE DRIVE AFTER THESE BIG RAINS, BUT HE'S OUT OF ACTION DUE TO SURGERY. #1 SIL KEEPS AFTER ME TO BUY A LITTLE TRACTOR w/ FRONT END BUCKET AND REAR BLADE, BUT I JUST DON'T HAVE USE FOR IT THAT OFTEN.

DIVERTING WATER FLOW WOULD TAKE SOME MAJOR DIRTWORK, TREE REMOVAL, ETC.

Morning guys.....I was up early, 5:45 to take Rosie over to her 5k Lenexa Freedom Run/Walk. It was a pretty nice morning, right up to the point where the race started. Then it began to sprinkle, then, by the time I got back to the car, it was pouring....and hasn't stopped. The runners/walkers got soaked.

While the race was going on, I decided to try and call into Phlash Phelps on SiriusXM, and GOT THROUGH. My first time in years of trying. He actually talked to me for about 15 minutes.....crazy. I'm now phan club member 2221.

We are packed up and ready to head west. I'll check back in once I get home.

Morning all and happy Fourth of July. It is great to live in this nation and greater still since last November. I was in a parade and a small car show last Sunday in a neighboring town. I went there with buddy who is a body man. He drove his recently restored 1967 Olds 442 that he did him self. I drove my Red Devil.

It has been hot the past week and in the upper 90s this week. It is supposed to be 101º on Monday and hot all next week. It has been very dry and doesn't look good for the farmers and ranchers. There is very little hay this year.

Have a happy and safe day.

Yesterday I lamented while thinking of the past. One way to get out of that is to plan for the future. I did just that and booked two cruises that will take us through the end of the year. One in September and one in December. Ports will include Grand Turk, San Juan, St Thomas, St Maarten, one in the Dominican Republic and St Kitts. Both of them were at discounted prices. The first one in September was a deeply discounted balcony. The other is an attempt at a reunion cruise. We have two weeks to book after our last cruise to get the great rates. Done deal ........

Happy 4th of July, Gurus! Last night I took the Vette out of the garage for the first time in about 2 weeks - we made a pilgrimage to the Dairy Queen. It will languish in the garage today, as we're heading over to a friend's this afternoon and have too much stuff to haul over there. They keep pushing the rain forecast to later and later in the day - hopefully they will continue to push it into some other day.

Hope y'all have a safe and festive holiday!

Happy Fourth of July Gurus!

Our town had the fireworks show last night. We are lucky in the fact that we can watch it from our driveway. Not far to go.

After the fireworks show was of course the post-fireworks firework show....the unsanctioned one, of course. Some of them are so loud I honestly couldn't tell if they were gunshots or fireworks, but I know they were fireworks. I even had a few wake me up while I was sleeping. We will see how tonight goes.

An unrelated funny side story.... When I was working on the AC yesterday I flipped the breakers off. Got up this morning and the ice machine had made one or two cycles of ice from resetting the fridge. LOL. It won't make anymore, I just found it humorous.

Hope everyone has a great day!

For those of you having photofkt issues, might want to get an imgur.com accont. They're free. But make sure you set it to private.
I use that for uploads to another forum I"m in.
In relation to the cobwebs on the contact from yesterday - we discussed this this morning - it seems that if you can't fix it with a hammer, you have an electrical problem BF says lol.
Rained here this morning, seems a storm came through early, sun is out now but this is Arkansas so that might change.
Happy Fourth to you all

Well, we are home after a stop to see Rosies' dad. Ran out of the rain about Topeka and by the time we were home, it was summertime. Getting ready to head out to our local fireworks display, so I'll catch everyone tomorrow.

We hit the dollar store for some things, then to his cousin's who runs a fireworks stand for some half price goodies, then came home, cooked out and blew up some stuff.
We thought we did good until we kept hearing what sounded like an hour's worth of thunder off behind us. Someone living back there spent their entire year's worth of food stamps for some big stuff. I mean realllllly big stuff.... I wanted to drive over to see what it was, but it was over about the time ours was. Hope everyone had a good evening.
Matt's flow chart is correct :D
