Moving can be good entertainment. One time I was helping a friend move, and his brother and I tackled the dresser in their bedroom. When we lifted the mirror off of it, we found a couple of REAL interesting Polaroids - LMAO! And when another friend moved, somebody pulled the drawers out of the nightstand to move them, and there were a number of "toys" in there.

When I was drinking, a move was just another reason to drink. Like fishing and races and eating. When I stopped drinking, helping people move lost its luster.

Moving about a half mile away.
Renting a townhouse now, rent is rediculous; too many problems getting a roomate thats not on drugs and remembers to pay their rent. Found a 3+2 bad house for $400 a month less. Giving 30 day notice today.. I hate moving. |

Yeah right, that's how it all starts. Then next thing I know I'm storing a few boxes "just for awhile" in my garage, then you're coming by on weekends unannounced to pick stuff up, and in 6 weeks, I find you sleeping out there and tapping into my cable tv line...

Sorry Ron I'd help but you don't have any females in the house and I always move the females underware drawer!!
Little story about moving........A guy I worked with asked me to help him and his wife move. I show up on the designated day and they had packed absolutly nothing in advance. His wife was a stay at home Mom and had the time to pre-pack all the stuff they didn't need until moving but when I got there the house was a mess and we were taking tables apart etc. I was there about 4 hours and it looked like we hadn't even made a dent in the move. I bugged out early. |

Guess Im spoiled...Will miss the central air and pool, but what the heck .No more stairs to deal with and less financial responsibility.
Does have tons of lighting in the garage and a badazzz workbench, I can port to my hearts content at night with no hassles. Theres always an upside. |

You'd be surprised how loud a metal bit spinning at 30,000 rpm can be against aluminum at 3 in the morning! Especially if you have other neighbors without A/C that leave their windows open at night.

Yeah, having a pickup and being in college is tough. I was smart and had a Corvette, so I never had to drive anyone or haul anything.
When I got a truck it seemed like I hauled everyone else's crap except my own. |
