I've never heard *that* quote...it's usually "I waxed my vette for the fourth time this week..."

Hey, I wash my car twice a year. Isn't that enough?

We are still on water restrictions here. Plus, I am just lazy.

I'm somewhat of a wash-a-holic - with a black car (WTF was I thinking - LMAO), it bugs me when it's dirty.

We're on ambition restrictions over here.

Besides when I wash it, more paint comes off.

I can't wash my car - millions of dirt particles rely on my vette for a home.

Why do we even have this section? There's no waxers here.

Maybe it's just to reaffirm that. So if any waxers accidently show up here, they'll realize quickly they're unwanted. We should make the forum background on this section pink with red dots to deter them.

I Wax quite frequently;

Don't be angry just because when you wax, the paint comes off with it!

This is crazy!

I thought that this section of the site was a great idea when it came around. You figure out of all the cars on the planet, corvette owners would be the most anal about keeping their cars clean.... but IDK about you guys..... There is alot of good information that could be traded in this section if you just gave it a chance.

Where the heck is Bogus.... Didn't he just "wax" his car recently??? I need some help here!

What does your restriction mean? We get fined for using it to water/wash ect...When I wash and wax...paint don't come off but neither does the wax. It looks streaky. Plus, it takes along time.

It means if I have too much ambition, ie, putting forth effort or trying to hard, I get tired and have to stop and go get beer.

So is everyone supposed to let their lawns die? Or just water it at night? Can't you do the same with the car? Or wash it by hand in the garage?

I suppose they don't put the local carwashes on restriction, or prevent all the businesses from watering their crap.

Supposedly if you "recycle" the water as car washes are supposed to do, you don't have to abide by those restrictions. Although, Most carwash's still use 100's of gallons of water daily.

If you want to water lawn, you have to get a well. Car washes are allowed if they recycle water as posted...but they have jumped the price up from 1.00 to 175 since water restrictions.

These cars are much more fun to drive than they are to wax. A hardcore waxer would likely have a stroke if they knew how long it's been since I waxed mine.

Hey come on, I wax, we all wax. I have a Porter Cable, and Meguiars 3-step polish. Microfibers, LANGKA paint chip filler, silicone water blade. A good looking ride is incentive to do more mechanix on it. Looking to put some C-6 chromed wheels soon.

Very true. That's about the only reason I clean it up. Otherwise I'd just clean the hood and windows, because that's all it takes to look clean when I'm driving.

It takes alot of practise and patience...........alot! I managed to take out a few chips, and still need to fill a few more. It's not as easy as it looks, but I couldn't stand looking at all those chips on the black nose of my car. I figured that I couldn't make it look any worse, so in a nutshell it looks better.
