I did some buffing and waxing this weekend - assuming there isn't a monsoon next Sunday, I'm going to an all-Corvette show, so I thought I'd get a head start. I used Menzerna Super-Intensive Polish with my Porter-Cable 7424, and followed that up with some Griot's Best In Show wax. First time I've used the SIP - it seemed to remove all but the deepest scratches. I wet-sanded a couple of them with 2000-grit and the SIP polished those right out. Also thought I'd throw in a plug for Pinnacle's pad cleaner - that stuff works great! Anyhoo, here's a few pics:

Looks like glass! Awesome. I actually washed mine Saturday morning (never happens) in anticipation of my date that night. Decided not to take it due to rain, but got stuck in near tornado conditions driving it today...lol. Oh well - I don't have the patience for detailing - I'm having it professionally done at the end of the month.

Thanks, guys! It required a little elbow grease, but came out pretty good for a daily driver.
I like to take the emblems off when I wax it - wish I could find some lightweight long wing-nuts for that front one. |

Looks really good in the pictures - daily driver or not. I know pictures can hide lots of little issues, but that car looks great!

Thanks, guys! I learned a little something - I started to get some cloudy haze under the wax after a few days, especially after a lot of sun exposure. After a little research, I found a suggestion to wipe down after polishing with an alcohol/water mix before waxing. So far, that seems to have done the trick.
