Shop #1.

Hosed me for $5500, took my motor, never finished the car. Sheriffs never did squat

Shop number 2
-Paid 10k to redo
-Discovered wasnt taken down to bare metal the hard way.
-Go to dig through my things to finish assembling it. I dropped off $$$$$$$$$4 worth of new trim, emblems, etc. All gone. Guy has no idea where they are and yet a few days ago he wants to finish the car (he was supposed to in the first fn place)..

Amazing how things just..."disappear"....Must be a phenomenon.

Funny thing was I was ready to suck it up, borrow some money and have him finish it as Im not good with trim, have no idea how to put glass in doors, etc.

Guess I get to lear new stuff

Back to your regularly scheduled program...

And I was pissed when a tire changer lifted my front fender with his right hand to get it over the lift?

Don't worry, the shop owner doesn't know how to put glass in doors either, but he won't tell you that.

"Oh yeah, we do those all the time, bring it on in."

Lost cause (court). I got nowhere with the first guy....Even with paperwork,a witness, recepits and the body shop owner admitting the motor he stuck in someone elses car was mine he STILL wouldnt arrest him. No report, I lose in court.

This guy...He was originally paid to do all this and assemble the chassis when I had it painted. He fell on hard time...Whatever, did it myself. Now I assemble the rest which again, whatever. Cant get blood from a turnip. Howver replacing all parts for the car 2x is killing me.
Just ranting, I think damn near all body guys are freakin thieves. Im into this POS almost 50k now, done everything 3x due to theft or crappy work..
Figure for 4k it will run and drive finally

In the meantime burning up the plastic, one way or another Im going to drive this mofo before the year is out.

Then I will ram it into a wall lol.

Hey Ron-

Can you recommend any body shops to paint my Chevelle? The windows are already installed.

Thanks-

Sorry Steve, couldnt...18k just in the motor and trans alone...probably need close to twice that (10k).
Call a mofo and say Hi sometime!

Anywho..

Went to a storage Ive had and havent been to in 8 yrs when I took it apart. Knew I had some parts in there but couldnt remeber what..Holy cow, I was quite the planner/parts hoarder back then.

Long story short, few thosuand $ worth of cherry parts I can use I forgot I had stashed in case they werent reproduced today, tons and tons of NOS stuff, few impossible to get items. .Long story short more than made up the difference. Used to be pretty compulsive I guess.
Kinda like a treasure hunt, lol.
