Let me warn you that this is NOT for the fant of heart nor for people who dont like to read. The following site follows the story of a guy I know from another forum. He has given me permission to post the link here but has asked to keep the bashing to yourself. His story is now getting some MAJOR attention and though his thread only started a few weeks ago it already has 10,000 hits!! Anyway, here is his story.

Wow, just checked it again and its crazy that the crappy shop is trying to stand by their preceived notion that the owner who paid for the work was a cheap skate. The guy dumped 55K into the car in body work and such at this shop....hell, that would build me a new car from rust!

Just finished page 4.

BK auto chimed in at post 71.

He did NOT deny anything. AND, he didn't try to blame anything on the first owner (messing up HIS work).

I'd call those 2 facts an admission of shoddy work [guilt].

Post 101, he's beginning to blame the first owner. AND a parts supplier to HIM.

He should have done that RIGHT AWAY, if his work was good.

I hope he takes it. The local auhorities and the IRS will likely have their way with BK, at some point regardless.
20K sounds like a nice number in my opinion. Lets see how much they will pony up.

I agree. 100%.

The thing is, if I am reading this case right, there are grounds for criminal fraud charges. I say, bring them on.

There definatly are causes for legal actions. There are several receipts which JB has that show a few items getting charged twice! Also it shows where items where supposed to have been purchased but they were not.

There were some strangly structured threads where a $5k reference was made at the same time there was a discussion about an offer. It was all rather convoluted.

I agree. The big thing with that thread is the attention they are getting with it and they want to make sure no mis-information is getting put out. I can understand that. JB is going to have a awsome car once its done and it will be done right. Just sucks that he had to go through all of this.

Hi Guys.. The offer was a huge insult.. Started at $4k and went to $5k with the bad transmission.. Screw that, I'd rather drive their name into the ground then take that kind of $$.. It's not worth it.

BTW, I really like this forum software, the place looks GREAT!!!!!!!
