It's awesome. A buddy of mine had a '66 ss 396 with a 4 speed in High School. It was painted nearly that color, I think it was called burnt orange, maybe a little darker than atomic. He wishes he never sold that car!

I love that atomic orange. I think it would even look good on a C4.

That is Nelson's old blue Chevelle.. now all atomic orange.

It looks great in person. Saw it last night. And it SOUNDS insane. I can't wait for the cutouts. It should set off alarms for miles.

A couple of years back, Nelson went on a vacation, and wanted a safe place to park it. So he kept it at our place. At the time it was still blue and the engine was stock, but it had headers and a free flowing exhaust. Unfortunetly, the stock TC didn't lock, so a lot of power was lost right there.

However, bastet44, her mom and I took it down the road to dinner (had permission of course). We were at a red light on PCH. It was a lovely warm evening, top down... exhaust barking... and this very urbane black couple, mid-40s, in their Mercedes coupe were next to us... windows down... enjoying the air... the window lasted about 15 seconds with that thing idling next to her!!!

Too funny.

Neat car. Handles like a pig... gets horrid gas mileage... but has tons of character.

Great looking car. I bet it's a ton of fun to cruise in.

Matthew

Andy - isn't that all those old muscle cars that we all get a woody over? My uncle's 69 camaro is like that - looks beautiful, drives like a concrete block.

...Handles like a pig...

Thanks to the revised camber curve of aftermarket aluminum spindles (fitted with Baer/C5 brakes and tall ball joints) and adjustable upper control arms, negative camber, and 5* of caster, it now handles like a refined pig, still a pig, nonetheless.

I concur with everything else.

There are so many like that. Love to have them till you drive them into the corners. Great for straight line running and hole shots. Very pretty.
