Good Morning CGs!

Happy St Patty's Day!

How is everyone doing today? I am feeling better with the sinuses after all the weather changes. Neti pot made me feel 100% better. Supposed to be 71 today, I think? Was right around there yesterday. Nice.

Well, looks like my pool liner has a leak in it. I'm 99% sure of that. Not too happy, but what are you gonna do? Over the summer I noticed I had to top it off a couple times, just attributed it to evaporation, etc. I started pumping the rainwater off the pool cover and realized how low it has dropped. Over the winter looks like I dropped a good foot from where I left it filled. Ugh. If I can find the leak (unlikely) I can patch it. Otherwise, might need to get it relined. Or rip it out. I dunno. I like my pool, but it's a lot of work over the summer, and expensive to maintain. I'll wait til May when I open it up and see what happens.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Good Morning!

Looks like the rain is finally going to quit, and I'm glad. Haven't seen the sun since last Thurs. Makes me..:shaking:

Oh boy, I know what you mean about the pool liner situation. I've been pumping water off the top of my cover, and it keeps getting lower, lower, and lower in the pool. A while back, one of the damn dogs decided it would be swell to jump on the cover and run around on it. Fortunately, my wife was at home and heard the baby just laughing her head off---She went to investigate and there was Jackson, laying down, wet as could be, in the center of the cover...
(Just had a big rain, so I hadn't pumped off the water yet). I thought at first that the water drop was because of the few holes J put in during his run around, however, I quit pumping off the water to see and it's still losing water....ughhh.....Last year it was a new pump, the year before that, new sand filter,....It is a lot of work, but---nothing like floating around in the summer with a cold one or six! (Sure beats the crowds at the beach too)

Yep - looking like a few nice days ahead. I need to get my oil pan gasket changed probably this weekend; in the meantime I'll probably take the beast to work a couple of days with the roof down.

Good morning! My son has been sick (sounds like the same crud Matt had), and now my wife is taking her turn, so I'm sure my days are numbered - I felt kind of "off" last night. Another decent day here, should be close to 60. Have a good one!

Good day today so far. Got the rest of the tile down, showed my buddy how to do it (cut, pattern, and thin set) so I know he feels more confident on doing it now. Tonight is the grout and if I got time I can go searching for me pot'o'gold...

I'm going to parade around my yard and finish painting my picket fence. The wife has settled down again. Must have been a burst of hormones or sumpin. You gotta love women. If you didn't, then you'd hate em.

Did you ever notice that the best days for painting seem to be the best days to go boating or taking a nice long cruise in the car?

Here is my green for the day.

Congrats Pat on the new home. Being a life time renter I have found home ownership to be akin to walking a tight rope without a net, no landlord to call when things go south. Oh well, I still love being a homeowner.

Our Power company came through and exercised their god-like powers and removed half of our maple tree in our front lawn, said it was too close to their power lines. Looked like hell so we had a tree removal company come over and remove the rest. It was 32" at the base. Today the stump grinding guy came over and finished the job. Loud and messy, more work to be done. My son made a comment on the fact that the grinder dude looks like Abe Lincoln, and he does.

Other than that it has been a beautiful day here reaching almost 70, yes. Spring is coming. Have a good one. Dave.
