Good Morning CGs!

Happy Friday to most. I say most, because I'm back to work today

Of course, couldn't sleep last night. I dunno why. I wasn't feeling too hot, I don't know if that's the reason. Finally got to sleep around 2 am after tossing and turning for 4 hours. Ugh. Today should be interesting.

So what's everyone else up to? Gearing up for the weekend? Any fun projects going on?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Morning! TGIF..
Hope you get to feeling better Matt..

Sitting here breathing paint vapors. Someone thought it would be a brilliant idea to paint the doors/trim/etc throughout the building last night with a nice oil based paint. Why they couldn't have used odorless paint is beyond me...
This building has 0 to no ventilation, so it's going to be a while before the vapors dissipate...

Had planned to be off today, but decided last night to swap it until Monday....Thinking about now that I should have stayed home today!
Oh well, it's Friday so all is well!

Busy day at work today. Cruising up to Road Atlanta for Formula Drift tomorrow - my son and a few of his buddies are going too, should be a blast.

Sorry your not feeling well Matt. You probably caught what the me and the other Gurus have been suffering with while surfing here. Finished up on detaling my Yukon yesterday. Took me a couple of days.I have avoided it for a few years now. Looks really good for an SUV worth only $3000. I'll keep it till it's not worth keeping anymore. I paid 25K for it in 1999 so I got my moneys worth out of it. It is in great shape and always maintained. I wouldn't be afraid to drive it anywhere. It's my run-around vehicle and it tows the boat. Plenty to do every day ......... So I'd better get crackin.

Happy Friday! I had a little time to get started on the car last night, so I got it up in the air, drained the oil and coolant, and took off a couple hoses - baby steps. Hope to get a little further over the weekend, but I have a number of honey-do items to take care of tomorrow, and I imagine I wouldn't be too popular if I spent Mother's Day under the car :-P

Good morning guys... We are running a shortened schedule today as we are hosting a big track meet. I have to run off the Javelin throw. I just hope my helpers don't end up catching one :-)

Nothing huge planned for the weekend, I am going to finish up a dresser I built for the wife as a mothers day present. But other than that, not much. Looking at buying some new shoes for the Corvette.....run flats are considerably more expensive and the choices are fewer.

Good Morning Gurus!

Well, my Amigo is still in the shop. I wish I was a little more fearless when it comes to auto repairs.

Rear Main Seal: $500

A/C recharge: $120

Alternator: $200

Plus an oil change.

The second gear synchro is slowly going out. I figure I will just drive it that way until its totally fried. By then I might have enough money to buy something else. Or find another tranny with fewer miles on it. Not hard, as mine has over 300,000.

I found an outfit that will make me a brand spanking new topper for it. Only about a grand, shipped to my door. FAHK!

But I really need to get one of those. My soft top doesn't offer my video gear much protection. Especially in its current Ghetto Mode, featuring various rips tears and cracks...

I'll have about $5,000 invested into a truck I paid $2,500 for. But that's how it is when you develop a crazy emotional attachment to a vehicle.

I know ya'll know what I mean.

Today I had to re-edit a spot that I was told had been approved. So there's a couple hours of my time that I won't get paid for.

I have to go clean carpets now, to get ready for the family that will be decending upon my house in the coming weeks for graduations and birthdays.

Happy Friday!

Good morning, Gurus!

It looks to be a beautiful, albeit unseasonably warm day here in LA.

I'm off to a fundraiser planning meeting, then lunch near the beach with a friend who's off from work today.

Have a fab day!

Good day gurus. Today I finish putting my wall patch in. Hopefully I will have the taping and mud done. Looks like a nice day here in the PNW. Sunny temps in the 60's. Hope everyone has a great day.
