Good Morning CGs!

Sorry for the late start, it was a long day yesterday and I didn't get to bed until late. Party was a success. Had way too much food, like usual, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Baby had fun (for the most part) and did seem to enjoy the boxes the toys came in more than the toys themselves (to be expected!). I got 95% of the food, dishes, etc, cleaned up last night. I put together a few of the toys, too. Still have to clean up the bags and empty boxes, etc.

How was everyone's weekend? What is everyone else doing on this kick off day for the week?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Sounds like a great first birthday party!

I installed my DeWitts radiator yesterday - went pretty well, other than that the shroud is a complete PITA. There's 3 little bolts on each side that are a bitch to get out - when I put it back together, I switched them around and installed them from the outside. I shined up the inside of the shroud, probably picked up 10rwhp :-P

I saw a couple of WTF's this morning on the way to work. Firstly was a motorcycle with red tires - it just looked wrong. And then there was a Prius with a class-2 trailer hitch - what the hell could you possibly tow with one of those?

Have a good one, evarybody!

Rainy weather in the forecast for the next few days. Today I will probably assume the roles of valet, housekeeper and dog groomer. Should I have any spare time I will squeeze in some accounting and landscaping duties. Never a dull day.

Small classes due to the seniors being gone, last week for the school. YEA....I am having an open house tomorrow evening to show the community what my students have done this year, so the next couple of days will be spent cleaning the shop here at school.

You all have a great day!

Had a good weekend. I finished my siding project. We went to the Evergreen aviation & space museum. Had a good time I have lots of pics. New thread on that when I get them uploaded. When we got there there were quite of few cobras parked in front of the museum. All nice looking cars.

Nice today in the PNW. Sunny with temps in the low 80's high 70's.

Hope every one has a great monday.

Good Morning,

Glad the 1'st B-day Party was a success!! We'll be coming up on our 2'nd next month. Amazing, just seems like yesterday we were bringing her home...

Nice, rainy Monday here. Suits the mood at work...
Not really sure what's going on, but from what I can tell it doesn't look good. We should be safe in Biotech and analytical, but these days nothing is a given..Scary times...
Can't worry too much about it, because it won't make any difference. What will be, will be....
(Glad I kept my CDL, although jobs in that industry probably aren't as plentiful as they have been in the past).
Hopefully, I won't have to find out!

Y'all have a good day!

Good Morning Gurus!

Had to actually do some work today. It was nice to do something productive.
Next up is lunch with a potential huge client.

Not much in the hopper, so that kinda stinks. I hope some more work comes my way soon.

Funny, I thought it stinks when there is something in the hopper. :pottytrain4:

Good morning, Gurus!

Matthew - glad to hear the party went well! I remember when you announced her birth last year. It's so great to see her grow up in our little virtual world here!

GabbyCat was pretty freaked out about last night's earthquake. It took a few hours to get her settled down and relaxed.

I thought this week was going to be pretty mellow - no meetings and such, but I just got a email for a conf call this afternoon and a mtg this Thurs.

Have a great week!

Snow? Ick!!

Variety is what we have here - we had frost warnings Saturday night, it's going to be 80 today, and low 60's tomorrow.

Oh, you'll be purnished, all right...

Got a "Time for service" light on the Saab at 4,600 miles. Called to see what that was about. Tire rotation and oil change. The car has 36,000miles free maintainance. So no charge. Cool. That's about how much I have to spend on it right now.

Sounds like you're diggin' the new car, Chris. Maybe GM didn't engineer all the "Saabness" out of them - the older ones had a pretty loyal following.

I'm on a Saab forum. I don't think mine is old enough to be trouble, but the guys that are paying the dealer to maintain their cars could be driving Porsches instead, and paying the same.

I can't see myself keeping the car past the warranty period, but we'll see. I'll get some pix up this week.

I was driving the vette back from Vegas at night, (lucky I didn't ride) because I ran over some chunks of wood scattered on the freeway.
A few miles later I hit a 24oz beer can, the tire shot it up into the side of the car and it lodged in the edge of fiberglass and was dragging. I couldn't yank it loose until this morning, so I was driving around with a beer can sticking out the side of my car, just bent up so it wouldn't scrape.

Also tripped 100,000 miles on the odo on the way!

I can't see you selling a car that's past the warranty period either!

At least when still under warranty, the new owner has more options for extending it. It'll be much easier if you start trying to sell it a year before it expires.
