If you don't like earthquakes, I've got a funny feeling that California isn't the place for you.....

Yea really, I've felt 2 here, one largee bang and one that was in waves. Creeped out for quite a few hours afterward.

I also was in a 4.0 but didn't feel it because I was driving on a freeway bridge in the bay area (great spot to be in a quake).

Matt, the midwest is supposed to have as much potential as Ca., Missori I think.

I'd rather have the potential of a quake once in a great while than have to think about tornados every week.

About twenty years ago we had a 2.9 quake right here in SW Kansas. Apparently there is a fault that runs just west of town and then off to the north. It was quite the experience. As far as tornadoes, I don't think any more about them than I do earthquakes.

WOW a 3.2 right under LAX.

Speaking of shaken not stirred.

I wonder how many 40's of Old E were spilled over near Crenshaw...

The fault in Missouri is called the New Madrid Fault. It's different... there is a huge hollow under the top layers of soil and every so often, it settles... and when it settles, it makes a bit mess of things.

All is well here!
