Wow our 2010 vs 55 really drew out alot of closet hotroders in the neighborhood. Field of battle was a newly resurfaced mile runway for crop dusters and private pilots. Had 60's 70's vintage christmas tree and timer for the quarter..however speed trap did'nt seem to work consistantly. We did 3 runs..Camaro ran consistantly in the 14's//14.1-14.0 13.9 we calculated his average speed @ 94-96..55Chevy consistantly ran 12.3-11.99-11.42 @ 118.58 Had problems with traction. Camaro guy really looked upset/he was physically shaking our last run. Next up next door neighbors 09 mustang gt...really sounds great//Ford has their act together. Mustang ran 13.98-13.31-13.02 again speed is cloudly /owner of the track estimates 98-101. My times got consistantly better 11.40-11.37-11.29 est speed 119-120. Soo Attorney guy is buying a case of wine for me....I heard him mutter ""I should have fucking waited!!! I wanted the mustang and camaro run but he was to upset!!actually he was really pissed..I took my digital camera..no pics Iwas too wrapped in the moment.

I see an upgrade in his future. He won't be able to look you in the face for a little while. No doubt he forgot to do his research. Case closed.

This could only get better if he messed up his little six cylinder during one of the runs!

But I wouldn't actually wish that on him. Probably.

Do you get to choose what wine he buys, at least?

Ron at the liquor store:

"Excuse me, kind cashier, do you have anything in a 1968 vintage?"

Damn, this is one of the best threads we've had in a while.

The next bet with him should be a trip to Napa to personnally pick up the case of wine.

That was my thought exactly. Someone is going to get a good deal on a lightly used v6 Camaro!

Don't discount those Mustang GTs! The base v6 Mustang isn't much, but the GT with a 6 speed is pretty damn quick. Like I said, my buddy's 07 Mustang GT can easily eat my 87.

As a side note, my buddy with the Mustang, his nephew works for Ford and brought him a 10 Shelby Mustang to drive. He said it's something like 540 hp and the acceleration was amazing. But it's also $50k.

Congrats on teaching that guy a lesson. I called the numbers pretty close.

Man I wish we could get away with that out here.

Some prissy asshole 3 miles away would complain about the noise and call the SWAT team.

Nice of the guy to pay up so promptly. You should invite him over for a drink. I mean, you're still neighbors and all.

Indeed, good of him to make good on his bet. And maybe he'll learn a little something, too.

Granger, Indiana is kind of out in country between South Bend and Elkhart. Lots of corn and soybean fields. Perfect place to make noise!!!

I'll take a bottle of wine to him tonight!!! He's alright just book smart...does'nt even own a hammer..He thought the Camaro would outperform his bimmer and his 2009 5 something bimmer could beat anything on the block. Apparently while @ Harvard or Notre Dame they did'nt teach autoshop LOL.
