Good morning guru's! Ahhhhhrrrggggg Mothers day is Sunday, So much to do so little time. I completly spaced it. Gotta line up a place to go eat lunch then there is the cards and corsage.......I better get it done since Fathers day will be here soon.

Work and more work but it is starting to slow down. We have some graduations getting started this weekend in other towns around us. I don't know about your parts of the country but graduations are a big deal out here on the praire. Lots of food and garages turned into showcases for the kids achievments in High School. Everyone makes the rounds, it is kinda cool. When we have a graduate, which we don't this year we set up a big tent and have a fruit smoothy machine. (It's really a margarita machine in disquise) Lot's of folks stop by.

Go figure out how to get it done today guys, the weekend is almost here!

Good morning guru's! Good story j3 I am sure all areas of the country get stereotyped New York included. Matt I remember my wife calling to say the car was making horrible noises once, (our 79 C3) and I told her to slow down and try to get it home. She was in Wall South Dakota and was headed back to Montana. It only made it another 10 miles and the engine blew, dropped a valve. This was before cell phones and she had to hike about 2 miles to a ranch house through a heard of cows with bulls to call me. We had a wrecker come out from Rapid City and I headed down to rapid with a car trailer I borrowed to pick her up. She was not happy! Of course neither was I since my car was shot. It later burned up in a shop fire we had. Not a lucky car!

I finished my 90 days of P90X and I am now ripped, cut, chiseled. My arms are like steel cables my legs like coiled springs. You could do your wash on my abbs. It is only because of extreme modesty that I do not post the before and after pics. I also lost 16 lbs of fat and feel great. I am starting my 2nd round this week. It is the best overall comprehensive work out I have ever done. It also includes a lot of stretching which for me is very good. Bring it!

I know sales are up in my neighborhood. Drove by a house yesterday about 2 blocks away and the guy was out shinning his new to him C5. That's 5 Vettes within two or three blocks. 2 C3's my C4 a C5 and a C6. Nice, I will have to intro them to the Guru.

Wow Brad, that had to hit home when they were attacked soon after that. Also has your car always had that vibration or has that come on later? I know mine vibrates more through the steering wheel at idle with this new exhaust set up but that is a whole nuther deal.

Matt, we the higher you go on the tax brackets the less or any deductions you get. Mine are complicated by the businesses we have and how they all play into the mix. I don't think I would like New York.

Good Morning! Looks like the weather will be improving in our part of the country for the next few days. Had another go around with the accountant last night trying to figure out if we made any mistakes in our books. I think it is what it is, which does not bode well for us and the amount we will have to give the Government. I am not working for me or my family anymore I am working for them and it pisses me off.

I did have a nice drive into the Star City in the Vette yesterday. I am puzzled why the check engine lite did not come on all the way down there when I was running 75 mph at 2000 rpm. Then on the way back it comes on right away. EGR delete is what is causing the check engine, but why sometimes and not other? Any ideas?

Good Morning Guru's! Good news on the National front. I'm glad that they got him finally.

Out for a walk last night with the dog and looked into a neighbors garage (I'm snoopy about whats in garages) and saw a newer C6 sitting in there. The guy was fussing with it so I went in for a chat. Nice car 07 vert without a ding on it. His first Vette, traded in a Mustang GT on it. He didn't know much about the car or about Vettes in general, so I filled him in on some stuff.

I went to a track meet that Ultraboy was thowing the shot and discus in yesterday. He did ok but did not win. It was cold and windy and cloudy and what is more boring then a track meet on a good day?

I did drive the Vette and was very happy with the way it runs and sounds. I was just cruising about 65 on the blue hiways and thought how much I enjoyed driving this car. The instant avg milage was reading between 26 and 30 which never happened before with the stock exhaust. Could an exhaust system make that much difference?

I always had 4 speeds in all my Vettes until I got an 88 with an auto and kinda liked it. The older I get the more I like to just move the stick and not have to clutch. If I bought a new Vette I'm thinking paddle shifts. So autos are for old men and sticks for the younger guys.......or not!

The 86 could have either iron or aluminum heads. The 86 would have the MAF (mass airflow sensor) on the intake tube and the 90 was switched to an air intake speed density system that mounts on the plennum. Camshafts were different and the stock 90 engine made 245 hp or 250 hp (for coupes with 3.07 rearend ratio) versus the 230 to 235 hp 86.

Engine blocks should be the same except for the cams. That's a few of the differences I know of. I am just a rookie on this stuff but have a 90 so am familier with it. I am sure there are more as others will chip in.

You could just freshen up your 90 like JeffK is thinking of doing. See his Dreaming of a new engine, thread today for more info on this.

Tommy that was what happened to me the other day. Usually when it says you have timed out you just hit submit again and it goes through. Not this time. I lost a profound post that would have made everyones life better. Pissed me off.

Speaking of pissed off, it's rainy and foggy here today. I let the help off again which they don't like because they lose hours. There is nothing to do. I have had them rearrange the warehouse twice now and even help me clean up the shop and service the trucks. I am tired of trying to find work for them. We need SUNSHINE and we need it now!

Matt it's the weather making everyone grummpy I think. After all winter being cooped up we want to get out and live. We all have to dig deep so we aren't snapping at everybody. Who didn't do the dishes last night dammit!
