Haha...is that all it takes to get responses to daily chat? Pictures of half naked women? But what about our female guests? Chris, I believe as the new moderator it's your duty to post up some bathing suit pics of yourself with the ruby....errrr....maybe not?

I'd just paint those headers silver and call is a day. Is that an entire BBK set up or just the TB?

12. Q: What is the GM part number for the Grand Sport Hashmarks decal & its dimensions?

The GM part number is 10279781 (GM LIST: $39.57), listed at "STRIPE, F/FDR WHL OPG" and each stripe is slightly different. The left (front most) stripe is 2-13/16" wide while the right (rear most) is 2-11/16" wide. Each is approximately 8-7/8" long and they are spaced 3/4" apart. Torch Red is a perfect match in color.

Note: As of 10/07, this item is still available from GM but in limited supply.

Are the bubbles in the paint itself or on the surface, like water marks/water spots?

I don't have a SC, but my plenum is always hot after running. I was trying to ohm my injectors while the engine was warm and had to be careful not to burn my hands. I don't know why your mechanic said it should only be "warm" - it's metal in a closed environment that's heated.

That looks like a good article. Others have had problems with those codes from poor connections. I'd check those first. Do you have a FSM for the step by step diagnosis?

Amazing photos. What a damn shame. I know how hard you've worked on your car to get it running right! I wonder if the insurance co is gonna try to total it? If so, make sure you show them all of those receipts for comps.

Glad no one was hurt, but that still doesn't make you feel any better about the car

Keep us posted!

Good morning CGs!

Happy Friday the 15th....doesn't have the same ring to it as Friday the 13th, huh? Oh well. So what's new and exciting in everyone's world? One more night of work for me then it's the weekend. I love it when *my* weekend coincides with the *actual* weekend. Makes it easier to hang out with friends and family. Supposed to go jet skiing on Sunday w/a few friends so that should be a good time. Weather is supposed to cooperate nicely.

Anyone else have big plans?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

PS - I've noticed a lot of people view chat days but never post up. For any new folks feel free to step in and say hello!

PPS - In my effort to have a new "thing" every day of the week, I've decided Friday will be "Hot Chick Pic Day"

For anyone who takes over the chat duties, this order will be followed:
Monday: Movie Trivia Monday
Tuesday: Song/Band Trivia Day
Wednesday: Freebie/Wildcard Day
Thursday: Joke Day
Friday: Hot Chick Pic Day

And....drumroll please.....

I'll start it out with a car-related girl - Jessica Burciaga, spokesmodel for Hot Import Nights (stolen from askmen.com):

I think bankruptcy has it's place, but is for pretty extreme unsecured debt. AFAIK you still have some assets (ie, vehicles) and although it pains you to sell them for less than you want (or they are worth), sometimes that's what needs to be done. It sucks about the other job, but keep looking and diggin and you'll find something. Even starting out low is better than not starting out at all, IMHO.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Good morning CGs!

How is the day so far? Just got home so I'm ready to relax a little. Rained a bit last night, so I'm glad I got the grass cut yesterday. Weather shouldn't be too hot today. I probably won't get to tinker with the vette today, but there's a bathroom that needs cleaning. Wait...huh...oh well.

Anyone have big plans for the upcoming weekend? Anyone gonna play hooky from work tomorrow?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

And for today's joke:

20 Ways to Annoy Your Public Bathroom Stall-Mate.

1. Stick your open palm under the stall wall and ask your neighbor, “May I borrow a highlighter?”
2. Say, “Uh oh, I knew I shouldn’t have put my lips on that.”
3. Cheer and clap loudly every time somebody breaks the silence with a bodily function noise.
4. Say, “Damn, this water’s cold.”
5. Drop a marble and say, “Oh no! My glass eye!”
6. Say, “Hmmm, I’ve never seen that color before.”
7. Grunt and strain real loud for 30 seconds and then drop a cantaloupe into the toilet bowl from a height of six feet. Sigh relaxingly.
8. Say, “Now how did that get in there?”
9. Say, “Hummus. Reminds me of hummus.”
10. Fill up a large flask with Mountain Dew. Squirt it erratically under the stall walls of your neighbor’s while yelling, “Whoa! Easy boy!”
11. Say, “Interesting. More floaters than sinkers.”
12. Using a small squeeze tube, spread peanut butter on a wad of toilet paper and drop the wad under the stall of your neighbor. Then say, “Whoops, could you kick that back over here please?”
13. Say, “C’mon Mr. Happy! Don’t fall asleep on me now.”
14. Fill a balloon with cream corn. Rush into the stall with your hand over your mouth and let out a lengthy vomit impression while you squeeze the balloon and splatter cream corn all about. Apologize profusely and blame it on the fettuccine alfredo you had for breakfast.
15. Say, “Boy, that sure looks like a maggot.”
16. Say, “Damn, I knew that drain hole was a little too small. Now what am I gonna do?”
17. Play a well known drum cadence over and over again on your butt cheeks.
18. Before you un-roll toilet paper, conspicuously lay down your “Cross-Dressers Anonymous” newsletter on the floor visible to the adjacent stall.
19. Lower a small mirror underneath the stall wall, adjust it so you can see your neighbor and say, “Peek-a-boo!”
20. Drop a D-cup bra on the floor under the stall wall and sing “Born Free.”

LOL...since we're on golf jokes, I've always liked this one:

A couple of women were playing golf one sunny afternoon. The first of the twosome teed off and watched in horror as the ball headed directly toward a foursome of men playing the next hole.

Sure enough, the ball hit one of the guys, and he immediately clasped his hands together at his crotch, fell to the ground, and proceeded to roll around in agony. The woman rushed over and immediately began to apologize.

She then explained that she was a physical therapist and offered to help ease his pain. "Ummph, ooh, nnooo, I'll be alright... I'll be fine in a few minutes", he replied as he remained in the fetal position still clasping his hands together at his crotch. But she persisted, and he finally allowed her to help him. She gently took his hands away and laid them to the side, loosened his pants and put her hands inside, beginning to massage him.

"Does that feel better?" she asked.

"Ohhh, Yeah....It feels really great," he replied. "But my thumb still hurts like hell!"

My wife doesn't need to feel good to find work for me to do. She can do that no matter what her condition. Glad to hear she's on the up & up, though

Vetteblondie - seems like there is some issue there. I'd post a ??? in the c4 technical because a of of people don't read the daily chat (or post, at least). Sounds like someone said, there could be leaky injectors. I don't know where the FPR is on the 96, but I don't believe it's in the dash.

Chris - 11 pounds is great, man. It's a health pace and if you keep with it you'll be getting some great results. After 6 months you'll look back and go, wow, how did that happen?

I'm about to go workout, myself, so hope everyone has a great night.

Are GM promo shots good for that?

just an example, but might be a good c6 one:

Otherwise just go to yahoo images and you'll find a million pics you can use. I know we'd prefer to use members' rides, but oh well.

To me that's not really "ricer" because there is an extreme amount of custom fabrication and skill that goes into making some of those rides.

Good morning CGs!

How is the day going so far? I got home from work and decided that after two weeks of not doing it, I really needed to cut the grass. The front wasn't too bad, but the back was pretty long. Of course, the weed whacker ran out of string half way through the back yard, so only half the fenceline got done - I didn't feel like spending 10 minutes spooling up the new line and getting it back together. Call it lazy. Oh well.

Well I have to tell you my workout yesterday just about killed me. Had eight days off total, and I'm feeling it today, lol. I just have to get back into my rhythm.

Any news with anyone else?

Hope everyone has a great day.

Matthew

Good morning CGs!

Hey guys, what's new and exciting? Been having some cool weather for the past couple days, but it's kinda nice. Better than hot and humid in my book.

Got my stitches taken out today and the thumb feels a lot better. I get to work out today so that makes me happy. What's the status update on the rest of our DL?

Not much else to say right now.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Bonus - joke of the day:

Unfaithful Wives

Paddy and his two friends are talking at a bar.

His first friend says: "I think my wife is having an affair with the electrician. The other day I came home and found wire cutters under our bed and they weren't mine."

His second friend says: "I think my wife is having an affair with the plumber. The other day I found a wrench under the bed and it wasn't mine."

Paddy says: "I think my wife is having an affair with a horse." Both his friends look at him with utter disbelief.

"No, I'm serious. The other day I came home and found a jockey under our bed."

Good morning CGs!

Short note from me today. I worked a long shift last night, so I'm pretty beat up. Wifey doesn't like it because she says I have a short temper lately. Oh well. I don't see anything wrong. She frustrates me sometimes. Gets all angry at me for no reason. I think it's time to buy a supercharger and give her a real reason to be pissed

Hope everyone has a great day.

Are you trying a gravity bleed only or do you have a bleeder pump? I use a cheapie one from harbor freight that works great.

Well this is completely politically incorrect, but it does have "casual friday" in the title....

Remember: "don't take candy from strangers"

Good morning CGs!

Ohhhhhh....it must be a sign! 08.08.08. The end of the world!!! A friend of mine wanted to get married today, but said they couldn't because every single place was booked up for anything wedding related. I guess it would be a cool anniversary date.

Olympics begin today. Anyone plan on watching? I probably won't watch too much. I like to watch the track and field events but that's about it. Mayor Daley is supposed to be in China checking things out since he wants the Olympics here in Chicago in 2016.

Anything else going on today? I need to get my spare set of keys cut for the vette. I ordered them off ebay and they've been sitting in a drawer for the last week. I only have one set and I'd be f*d if I ever lost them, so I figured $15 is cheap peace of mind.

Anyone have plans for the weekend?

Hope everyone has a great day.

PS - how are all of our members/wives who had surgery doing? Crash, Tommy, Pappy, anyone else I left out!

Maybe one of these days we'll buy you one of those fancy 8 track players.

Great song, BTW.

So the kid bought a car without really knowing a lot about vettes. Who is *not* guilty of that. He got a good deal on it, it sounds like. Maybe he can make it into a nice ride with a little bit of cash and hard work. Not the worst post I've ever seen on CF.
