Good morning gang.

Happy Valentine's day to all our lady gurus. Hope you guys didn't forget your wive's or girlfriends.

Mostly sunny today temps in the low 40's.

Word of the Day Thursday, February 14, 2013.

nuque\ nook \, noun;

1. the back of the neck.

Origin:
Nuque originated in the late 1500s from the French nucha for "nape," though its earliest origin is Arabic nukhā referring to "spinal marrow."

What was the odd original name of February?

Find out here.

Good Morning CGs!

Happy Valentine's Day. Hope everyone got something nice or is doing something nice for their SO. My wife will get a card from the kids and some flowers. Pretty standard stuff.

Yesterday turned out to be quite pleasant weather wise because the sun was shining all day which really warmed things up. Today they say we might get some snow. Go figure.

I pulled out the big mouth air dam from the shelf the other day. Rick gave it to me a while back but I never had a chance to install it. I went to the website and found the mounting instructions so with a little work it should go in. I plan on doing it along with the trans work.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Wifey asked me last night; "What are you doing tomorrow?". Translated that means, I need you tomorrow. It pisses me off when people ask me that because experience tells me that whatever I thought I was gonna do will have to be changed. I really don't plan my days. They kind of plan themselves. I wake up, see how I feel, then select a few tasks that I can accomplish. So, I have to do a pick up today. (Part of my resposibities). So instead of saying "What are you doing tomorrow?", just say, I need you to pick up some plants and be done with it. People do that on the phone all the time too. I'll be busy and they're not. They'll ask "What are you up to?" while I have a paint brush in my hand or a tool of some type. I'm busy, dammit. Why dd you call? To find out what I'm doing? State your business and move on already. There. Now I feel better. Now I can start doing whatever I have to do. My day's already shot .......

Hi Tommy what you got going today....

Geez..don't be grumpy on Valintines day, you might not get some nuque later on......nevermind.....

Work, work, work that is what I got going on today. Must travel also. I am about done with my winter meetings though. Other then that we wait for the weather to warm up and the circle of life starts all over.

Flowers and a card is the traditional route for me on V day....

Let's get after it Guruistas.....yeeeehaaaaa!

Morning guys...Happy VD! Whatever.....

Weird day here at school P-T conferences start this afternoon. So this morning is a shortened schedule so we see all our classes. This afternoon actually runs into tonight, I won't get home until after 8 tonight. At least this time we're in our classrooms and can do some other work. I should be able to check in a few more times throughout the day.

Xima nimaqui con Dios.

Howdy! I had plenty of time to enjoy the scenery this morning. A hoar frost, along with a light dusting of snow, left all the trees a lovely shade of white. This was also the approximate color of the knuckles on the herd of Neanderthals who impeded my progress.

Have a good day, all!

Work today... but all caught up...I'll see how many times I can find the end of the internet. I have a customer coming to pick up a Sprinter van we wrapped for Greenway Equipment and collect a $4,500 check and that's about it for today. I know men usually don't get much appreciation for V-day but Happy Valentine's Day from me... y'all have a good day.

Letty, I am wondering about the printers/ink/material that you use in the making of these wraps. Obviously, it is a wide format printer, what 72" or bigger? I'm sure it has to be a waterproof ink and the material is a special vinyl?

Just wondering if my HP T770, 42" printer could be used to make small wraps for use around school here.

His here is a Mimaki CJV30-160. Wide format I think it prints 60" or so. Those wraps are installed in panels. Uses a solvent ink on wrap material from 3M plus a separately applied overlaminate material. Those things last a long time. And, if applied to a new car, protects paint. My owner has changed his several times and his paint still looks good underneath.

Well I did my pick up. I got lucky really. I could have ended up doing 3 pick ups but my wife didn't have an installation today so she's doing 2 pick ups with the crew. I did get a lunch out of the deal. Local Cuban food. Seasoned pulled pork, fried bananas and spanish style rice. I chased it with a refreshingly cold NA beer. Now I get to straighten up the house for game night. Whoo Hoo!

evening guys and gals....still at school and it's been pretty slow as far as parents showing up goes. But it's been nice in the fact that I've gotten quite a bit of work done. Four big cabinets assembled, some frames sanded and ready for stain, a computer worked on and back up and running.

Can't see most of the Links, including yours Letty, because of the school's filter, but I'll check them out at home later.

Nope, not me. Thank you for the compliment though
That's the owner's truck. She looks more like the owner's wife I thought but she is actually some woman I found from our art site that we pay to use. www.shutterstock.com
Funny - the first week I worked there he wanted a new wrap for his truck. If you look up close there are women hidden in there. I have them faded really light. Was strange when people would ask me how my first week at my new job was and I'd tell them "I looked at hot naked women all week...." There's a button on that site you can select for 'safe search' but even with it checked you still see some stuff....
I have some more photos I need to add to those albums when I get back there Tuesday. Did an Arkansas Razorback golf cart and have a really cool plumbing one to be delivered next week.

I know what you mean. Whenever I look for subject matter suitable for HCF I have to gaze over hundreds of inappropriate photos with women in many compromising positions. It's terrible. And no matter how much I try to keep out the Ben & Jerry's, they always seenm to sneak one in on you.
