Kinde!

A little slick out on the roads today in spots - the dreaded black ice. So naturally whoever is at the front of the pack assumes that the entire highway system is covered with the stuff and drives at a pace which would allow one to jump out of the car and inspect the road before driving on it. Oh well, at least there is no yard work.

Enjoy the last day of 2013, Gurus!

Morning guys....A few things to do around the house then head for Wichita. Plane lands at 5:40, so we'll leave around noon. Going to take the Merc, lots of room in there. I was up way too late working on a design for the CNC machine. Need to work on a computer today and have a few things in the shop to do, so I have my pick. Supposed to be in the lower 60 here, lower 50's in Wichita.

Morning all....14 here now and heading to a high of 42. Somehow I have managed to catch a head cold so I'm all stuffed up and achey.....

No plans today as we head into the new year....I am amazed at how fast they go...

Read in the paper last night about Heavy Metal bands drummers can't keep up with the music so the drumming is put in by computer after the track is cut....The world record is 1208 beats per minute.....and base drum is 240 beats per minute......thought maybe we could sponser Bill to try and beat the beats per minute record.......

Here is the winning attempt....have a great day Guru's..

Congrats on hitting 5K posts Tom......

Made my delivery. Now off to the other house to clean the pool (I waited a little too long. The water is a medium green.) Plus take down an antique light fixture my wife wants to keep. Then back home to cut grass, clean house and other routine chores. Up, up and awayyyy ..........

Good music! Looks like I'm homebound tonight. I've got some kind of cold/sinus/allergy thing that WILL NOT let go. Hoping for some good weather northward of here as I got my passport card and looking forward to finally visiting Rick up in Canada. If this global warming deal would hurry up and take hold, I'd consider moving up there. Good country, good folks, good beer! What's not to like?

I hope all the Guru's have a safe and happy new year however you choose to celebrate.

Half of them can't even play the music.

Computers really screwed up the music industry, one of the new musicians even said "We don't need to practice anymore."

If you ever get to see "Sound City" on the Padillia Channel, watch it. It's where the great rock & roll was done using 2 1/2 tape machines and a huge sound board.
The drummer from the Foo Fighters rescued the sound board and opened Studio 606, McCartney, Stevie Nicks and a whole bunch of others came to the opening recording session.

If you want to see the best drummer in the world, watch Neil Peart.

Me, I just wanta bang on the drums all day.

Good afternoon gang.

We had a dusting of snow last night. Should be sunny and cold here today with highs in the upper teens and low twenties.

We aren't doing much here for the new yr ring in. Probably be in bed and asleep way before hand.

Word of the Day Tuesday, December 31, 2013
sozzled \ SOZ-uhld \, adjective;

1.Slang. drunk; inebriated.

Origin:
Sozzled is a dialectal word which entered English in the late 1800s meaning "confused state" or "sloppy person."

Did anyone see in the news that Applebee's is charging $375 for dinner tonight.

I just roasted a leg of lamb for 3 hours at 325*. Perfect. I also ate a half dozen tacos while it cooked. Fireworks and gunfire have already started. We're staying home tonight. Could have gone to a party but, eh. Maybe even going to bed before midnight. Thought of going to the casino. Could just get lucky at home. Maybe I should have had oysters instead of tacos.

Good Evening CGs!

Had to drop a line to say hello on the last chat of 2013! I worked today as I will tomorrow, so no partying for me. Oh well. The snow shoveling tonight was like a party in itself.

Hope everyone has a safe night!

Just got home from Wichita. That's one airport I don't mind going to...easy access in and out in 35 minutes. The ole Merc did right at 24mpg. It needs a couple of maintenance things, but I'll get that worked out. Used my SkyDock in the Merc to listen to SiriusXM, 60's on 6 all the way down and back.

I'm a real partier too, think I'll head for bed pretty soon.
