Good Morning CGs!

Welcome to the weekend! I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Friday night. I was supposed to cut the grass last night, but never got to it. We were over at the in-laws and grilled for dinner then my wife watched her show on the Polish satellite channel. By the time we left it was already dark and I had to give the baby a bath. Oh well. Might not get done til Monday as I have a busy weekend planned!

What's on the agenda for everyone today? Car shows? Wash the vettes? BBQs?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Good morning Gurus.

I'm one step closer on booking the cruise we're planning for December. Last night I sent the info, payment and got a confirmation number. I don't expect to do this type of trip more than once in a lifetime so for us it will be a big deal. Starts in Barcelona, to Rome, Athens, a port in Turkey, Cairo, Malta then back to Barcelona. 12 days. My wife has never been to Europe. We have never been to the Middle East so we're looking forward to going. She has future visions of travel to the Far East I'm sure. I wouldn't mind going to Thailand or the Phillipines for a little, uhummm, adventure of my own. Have a wonderful day. Make something happen.

I'm taking the Vette to have new Tire Pressure Sensors installed. I have one that just quit...probably batteries they are 8 years old. Bought some new ones but need to have them installed.

The cruise sounds like a nice time, Tommy.

Got a car show this morning. Curt, myself, and his wife are taking our three Vettes. I should have some pics to post later in the day when I get home.

Sounds like an excellent trip, Tommy!

We have our golf league tournament today - supposed to be mid-60's and windy. So I'll dress for that and it'll probably turn out to be 80 and calm. The Vette is filthy, but it'll accumulate more bugs and whatnot on the way to the course, so a wash will just have to wait.

Have a great weekend, all!

Good Morning Gurus!

The wife works all weekend, so it's me and the boys. I predict a lot of video games will be played. Gonna do a little rearranging in the youngest boy's room.

I'll edit all day Sunday. Probably give myself a day off next time wifey is home.

Enjoy your weekend!

I was really hoping to sleep in, but my GERD had other ideas. So I'm here, albeit sleepy.

Had a busy couple days, and am looking forward to a mellow weekend.

Heading down to Atlanta this afternoon. First a nice family dinner and then going to the Atlanta Falcons game. We have tickets 30 rows up and on the 50 yd line. Even preseason it should be a good time.

Bastet came back to bed and is still sleeping! ya!

I am getting ready to swap coolant sensors and then head to the museum for my docent duties... at least for a couple of hours.

I haven't been in 2 months. It's most embarrassing.

Tonight, we are going with NelsonV and his date to a concert... George Clinton and Parlament Funkadelic!

Well, today was a fun day for me. On my back for a few hours, dropping the tranny pan on the Blazer. My shoulders hurt from all the rolling around on concrete (my sleeper has bad casters on it, I end up sliding off the freakin thing).

Anyway, to make a short story long, I changed the filter and fluid on the truck Friday. Got in to take it off the ramps, back off OK, put it in drive, and WTF, starting off in 3rd gear. Doesn't shift into 4th or overdrive.
SES light comes on, P0758, shift solenoid electrical.
DAMN.
So, bright and early this AM, I'm out there draining the pan again, drove to a Chevy dealer 20 miles away for the solenoid I busted when I installed the panyesterday, and today I ache all over.

On a good note for today, I visited my parents (also 20 miles away, truck is running good now), then off to our oldest son's house (25 miles from my folks) to see the grandkids.
Everyone's doing fine.

I guess, all-in-all, it was a good day afterall.
