Good Morning CGs!

Well, we didn't get the mass snow we were supposed to last night. Instead it came down as rain and sleet, so the roads are pretty wet. Radio said it's 34* so the roads might not freeze, I don't believe it. I'm leaving extra early for work today.

I did change the oil in both suvs last night. What a PIA that was. Had to pull the vette out into the sleet and pull them in one at a time. The cold didn't bother me, it was the fact that snow and water kept dripping off the hoods and undercarriages onto me and the floor, and then I'd lay in it. But it was one of those things that had to get done, so it was done. Being a grown up sucks.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Man you guys are having a heat wave....it's -3* F here this morning. Skies cleared off and the temps dropped like a rock. We have school today, but it won't be much fun for the kids moving between buildings. I think I'll stay put today instead of going to the main building for lunch.

Have a good day.

Good lawd, it's balmier in MN than in Kansas! High of 12 here today, 8 tomorrow - just delightful. We got some snow last night, not as bad as expected, but it is quite windy. Good day to be indoors - think I'll be saying that for another few months.

Holy Climategate Batman.

But -3* ain't as cold as it is at my house, -6*. And That's the same temp it was yeaterday. -4* down in Reno an -13* up in Truckee, Ca.(Lake Tahoe). It hasn't been this cold since the 1980's.

But, this doesn't bother me that much, some guys have worse problems:

Temps in the 50s this morning. Crazy, it snowed and sleeted last night, north and west of DC. Over here east of DC on the Chesapeake Bay we got rain. This morning its fairly mild thank God. Its supposed to be in the mid 40s this week and sunny Thursday and Friday.

All that cold weather you guys are experiencing sucks. I hear that its moving eastward, but I hope it doesn't make it here.

Have a good day.

I'm telling you it's global warming! We have to vote for people who will pass a lot of laws and raise our taxes and we should not drive our cars anymore. These winters are getting soooo bad! Yeah right! We don't even know what a bad winter is anymore. Talk to some of the old timers (of which I almost qualify)they can tell you about the winter of 49 or in the 50's. My Dad and Mom were on the way back from Montana to school in Lincoln and got caught in Chadron NE in the 49 blizzard and were there a week. Folks opened up there homes to those that were stranded. The drifts were huge,as tall as some houses. Nobody had even heard of carbon debt or greenhouse gas and the weather was much more extreme in those days. I'm not saying we need to be stupid, I am sure there are ligit concerns with all the people we now have but I always figured that if the Lord designed this rock to support mankind he had to make it somewhat idiot proof. My rant is now over. Have a good day! Windchill here was

as you can tell from my other thread, 1st commute to work in snowing conditions with the new truck.

Kind of a mess, what normally takes 15min took 1.5hrs

I was suprised to see school buses out picking up the kids.

It's 19 right now. I was out driving my one wheel drive in the snow up here. By 10:00 a.m., the roads were about dry, had to turn off the eat and take off my jacket in the truck caue it was too warm in the cab.

Howdy!

It's cold here, at least to me!
wind chill is below 0....Supposed to be down to around 7F tonight, so I don't even want to think of what that does to the wind chill factor!

Did buy an ice scraper yesterday...but forgot the gloves! Think I'm going to need a bigger coat too...

Haha....welcome to the midwest!

Temps dropped here during the day. 25-50 mph winds and snow. Ugh.

Supposed to be a high of 11 tomorrow with -15 windchill. 20-30mph winds. Niiiiice.

Gonna go get my KB workout in. That'll warm me up!

David, will like the midwest even more this summer, when the heat and humidity are about even.

It's a bazillion below right now, and even though my eyes are squinted shut to keep the frost out and my teeth are chattering, I am still fining myself laughing at Bill;s doggie photo for some reason....
