The Zr-1 rocker panels end in a nice gentle radius.
The stock C-4 ends in the jacking rail that sticks out like a sore thumb on certain colors IMO.
Since mine were getting kind of ragged looking, I painted them matte black and am happy with the result.
Amazing how much dirt was behind the panel upon removal of the retaining bolts.

Interesting.

Think I'll see what mine looks like doing that, I'm going to try electrical tape first since it's so easy.

Looks nice! My car is black, so at least that's one less task for me to add to my list ;-)

Damn you!

That has never once bothered me in the 8 years I've owned this car.

And now it does and I'll have to fix it.

You're welcome.
Here's another before and after with similar lighting.
It does make a difference.
The old 'do it yourself' rust out cover-up rockers had a similar lip on them. I always hated that.
Zr-1 pic. for comparison.

That looks great! Impressive. Mine are pretty tore up from jacking the car. The plastic hangs down lower than the sheetmetal! Morons. I've contemplated remove the panels again and trimming a 1/4" off.

I wonder if you could use a rotozip and just run it along the bottom without removing the rockers. The metal edge would be your guide plate.

Depends. If you use use photobucket, cut and paste the "html" version into the thread. If it's a picture hosted online and you have the address, use the small button above that looks like a face and enter the address, hit ok a couple of times. If you have an image with the correct size, you can upload it below where it says "attach file" - use the browse button to find it on your computer.

That was a good idea. I thought of this but, never did anything about it. I took a picture of my 96 and blacked out the rail using paint. Flat back it is.
