Good Morning CGs!

Well it's about day 12 on baby alert...ever since the dr told us to be ready. No baby yet. I was betting on the 23rd, but might be later than that. Dunno. Still in the safe zone, so we're ok, but we are both really anxious (excited)for this to happen!

I was able to get the grass cut last night before the rain. What a PIA. I thought the mower wanted to die it was so long. Dull blade doesn't help. I should really sharpen that. Oh well.

I'm running tonight so probably no big chores after work. We'll see what happens.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Big plans for today. Cut grass at home. Get a fuel treatment for the boat. Restring and lube up up some fishing reels. Might as well straighten up the shed a little since I'll have stuff out. When I'm done it will be dinner time. Have a great hump day.

Hope that baby comes soon and everything goes smoothly, Matt! Looks like a fairly decent day on tap here, until later this afternoon. I heard talk of 4-8 inches of rain over the next couple of days, should be delightful. The Twins clinched the division last night - yahooooooooooooooo!

Have a good day, all!

Matt - crossing my fingers for you guys to have a newborn soon!!

Weather here is still nice. Our drag races and car show were cancelled last week because of rain and I would have missed it anyway because I was out of town. We have a rain date this Sunday, so I hope the weather holds out just a few more days before she lets loose again. It is going to be in the 90s here again today. on the verge of the first day of fall.

Matt - Hope baby gets here soon.
Gloomy day, high near 76, We had some pretty violent storms last night. My wife and daughter watched Glee and Dancing the Stars last night. So I was relegated to the man cave fell asleep watching Sports Center. Teaching is kicking my butt lately!
Just met with School Corps health care insurer. According to their chart I have 9 1/2 years to live! Cool! Better buy another Vette!! Get this guys! Because I'm a professional diver I'm too high of a risk for term life insurance, I tried to explain to them that personal life insurance plan is all payed up and I can draw from it any time. But No.... School Corps life insurance plan requires me to pay a high risk adder! WTF. Govt regs! Can't wait to see what Obamas plans do to me. They ask me if I've ever been engaged in high risk behavior! Yea fricking Wood Shop, have you ever been shot yes twice, have you engaged in sky diving yes, military. Are you currently being treated for mental illness or anxiety, yea now that I have talked to you. Damn! Next their gonna want to know if my "unit" works. I was waiting for the ink blob test! What do you see? Your head on a stick .

Go Twinkies!! They looked good! Anyday now Matt, I'm happy for you guys.

Today I am going to mow the lawn since Matt did his and clean up the office and the shop. Yikes! Those are bold words hope I can live up to them. Have a meeting here at the office tomorrow so that will inspire me to get things done. It's my daughters 20th birthday today, what a great kid. She is a blessing to this old man!

Gotta get to work, encourage someone today, it will make their day.

I'm going up on another roof today, mine this time. I'm pulling up about 30 cement roof tiles to see if i can fix a leak.

I don't think there's any space left in the garage for more shelves, I thought about putting some on the garage door but the stuff would fall off when I opened it.

No rain or gloom here.

I never tell them anything either, I've been in the local paper a couple of times so they know what I do! and its tough when the insurance guy is a friend of my daughter. I think if they think your crazy they leave you alone! wearing snoopy socks helps in that image building. Administrators at the Central Office think I'm a little off center but thats OK! because they don't screw with you!

No can do, the master bedroom's above the garage, but it does make it nice when the automotive paint fumes seep up thru the ceiling.

Put all of us as your benificiaries and stipulate that it could only be used for Corvette stuff. That would be good amd we all would be forever grateful.

I prefer the stressless TommyT-Bonetechnique. Do what you want when you feel like it. If it gets done, fine. If not, there's always tomorrow. I think of it along the lines of; Will this be important 100 years from now? None of what I do or don't do is going to have much, if any, impact on mankind. I leave that for greater men.

I had a friend that was on a one way road to death. A wicked alcoholic. No matter how he tried he always ended up back on the bottle. When he was 50 I asked if he would take out a policy and name me as beneficiary. I would make the payments. Would have been a good gamble. He was dead at 53. No, he never took out any additional insurance. He never changed the beneficiary either as I and friends had suggested. He had a young son with another woman. He had been married when young and never bothered to get a divorce from his wife. Twenty five years had passed since he left his wife. Guess who got the 25 grand. Not his young son but his estranged wife. She laughed all the way to the bank.

I just pulled a pork sirloin out of the slow cooker, pulled pork soft tacos, um. Just like off the taco truck, pulled pork, onion, celentro and a squeeze of lime.
