Looks like another dreary New England day here. That would be OK other than the fact I'm in South Florida. Did some this n' that yesterday. Looks like it will be more of the same today. Piddle with this, fiddle with that. Good day to pay off some bills. Whoo Hoo! Exciting!

You guys must have been up late watching election results! LOL

I still feel like crap, but drug my sorry butt to work.
some of you got me thinking about rebuilding my own transmission but that is only one option. I hate to impose on Pete, as I know how busy his work schedule is and time at home without people leaching you is at a premium.
Another option is to look into the Performabuilt stage 2 transmiion for around $1600. I don't know much about them except on some of the LSx and LT1 forums they get some good reviews. Maybe Pete knows a little more about their reputation and quality.

Our club hosts our third Autocross event this weekend which incorporates a beginners autocross training event on Saturday for people that might be a little intimidated by the whole Sunday Main Event. We offer the AX Primer for $10 which is refundable if you register for Sunday's event. A pretty good deal for newbs to autocross. We also bought 4 new helmets to have on hand for newbs without, we even bought a bunch of socks to put over their heads too! (prevents passing Cooties)

It should be a lot of fun. Of course I won't be driving, but I'll be smoozing as usual and working the sarting line.

Have a good day sirs!

If you have never done anything sporting with your cars I highly recommend you seek out events such as Dons to get your feet wet. Test and tune, drivers ed and autocross are all great starting points. Gives you an opportunity to excercise your adrenile gland. Great rush.

Howdy! Pretty quiet day here so far. Our governor's race looks to be headed for a recount. Some stories are starting to surface about what a classy guy Randy Moss is. For example, the Vikings recently had lunch catered. He walks in, looks at the food and yells, "Who the f*ck ordered this? I wouldn't feed this sh*t to my dog!" Good riddance.

Have a great day, all!

MMMM Randy Moss, class act! Perfect weather here and been out taking advantage of it. Have not even looked at a paper to see what's up with the elections. I am sure whoever got in will make everything right like it used to be.

Still have not put the vette away because of the great weather, but soon real soon I'm thinking. Do a random act of kindness today Guru's!

Working on the computer again today. Realized I was looking in the wrong spot for files, now I've got it straightened out and removing a bunch of viruses. Should take a few hours. But looks like all my data is saved. I'll be making a backup right after this!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hey guys....been a really busy day.....got my new scanner today. Truck backed up to the dock at about 9am, I got it unloaded (weighs about 130#), unpacked and attached to the computer, drivers and software loaded and did my first scan and printed out (24 x 36) and delivered to the supt's office before 11am. Played around with it off and on all day trying to learn the software and how best to scan different media.

Tomorrow, my new printer (44" wide) is supposed to be here. It's like Christmas early. I'll have plenty of time to either set up the new printer or play with the scanner tomorrow, as we have P/T conferences from 1-8pm. In the morning I have only 2 classes...should be an easy day...as long as nobody shows up to talk about their kids.....

And now we have the DHS with their 4 color threat levels.

Does anyone know what to do when it goes from yellow to orange????

Ron White's got it correct.
There should only be 2 threat levels.

Level 1. Buy a helmit.

level 2. Put on the damn helmit.

We have lockdown frequently at school, usually some nut case running around near school grounds shooting off a firearm. Teachers are suppose to lock their doors and move the kids away from the door. When the machines are running we can't hear the alarm for lock down, low continous tone and usually knowone thinks about us on the far side of the building. I can tell we are in lockdown when a police car stops in front of my shop door. Pretty neat! Fortunately when these occur its my former students that are now police officers that remember about their old Wood Shop and teacher that is probably unaware of anything going on. Thats great!

Har, I was just reminiscing today about the old desks we had like that, with ink wells and everything. Made of real metal and wood, built to protect you from an atomic bomb.
