We all pretty well know the day after surgery is the roughest and it usually gets better from there. Today she's feeling it in her neck and throat. A vicodin regimen should keep her somewhat comfortable. They always wear off before the next round is due though. She is actually pretty good as a patient. She has an iron will and doesn't like to stay down. A real fighter. She tries to do as much as she can herself. I just have to keep an eye on her and make her as comfortable as possible. Well, enough on that. Looks like any day for Tommy DoubtFire. Keep the place clean. I want to do an extra nice clean up on my 90. I have part of today and some of tomorrow. If I don't get to it, no big deal. There will be other days. Hope everyone has a good day today.

Good Morning CGs!

Had a bit of an uneventful night last night, it was nice. Rugrat #1 wanted to watch the movie cars and play on the floor with some toys so that's what we did after dinner. No chores, no errands, no anything. I like that. Of course rugrat #2 didn't want to sleep too well last night, but you can never seem to get two winners in a row. Also my wife says she has a sore throat, so I hope she feels better soon.

Yes, but does she have an iron? Because they at least she has something to do to take her mind off the pain

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matt... don't forget. I was born before permanent press. If I never see an iron again (even though we have one for emergencies) that will be fine with me. I bring a batch of clothes to the cleaners every once and awhile just so we don't have to use it.

Greetings! It's gonna be a balmy -15 here tonight. I have a theory that early settlers arrived here in mid-summer and thought, "Hey, this is pretty nice!" Then their horses froze to death a few months later and they were stuck here.

Enjoy your day, one and all!

Last March when my son turned 16 I got him an iPhone, which he really loved, who wouldn't. I had a birthday in April and my wife got me an iPad which I really like. My daughter's birthday was in September so we all got her an iPod Touch. Last month was my wife's birthday so we all went together and bought her an iRon. The fight started not to long after that!

Good morning Guru nation, snow here yesterday but severe clear this am. Got a meeting here at 8:00 with a client so gotta go. Go forth today and do well!

Yea, well, I was bored yesterday.

My appliances are supposed to hit here today but, I;ll believe it when the truck shous up. Then, I can stare at them cause I don't have any cabinets to put them in.

After the 60* temps, the weather is headed back to normal.

An elderly couple were having dinner one evening when the husband reached across the table, took his wife's hand in his and said, "Martha, soon we will be married 50 years, and there's something I have to know. In all of these 50 years, have you ever been unfaithful to me?"

Martha replied, "Well Henry, I have to be honest with you. Yes, I've been unfaithful to you three times during these 50 years, but always for a good reason."

Henry was obviously hurt by his wife's confession, but said, "I never suspected. Can you tell me what you mean by 'good reasons?"

Martha said, "The first time was shortly after we were married, and we were about to lose our little house because we couldn't pay the mortgage. Do you remember that one evening I went to see the banker and the next day he notified you that the loan would be extended?"

Henry recalled the visit to the banker and said, "I can forgive you for that. You saved our home, but what about the second time?"

Martha asked, "And do you remember when you were so sick, but we didn't have the money to pay for the heart surgery you needed? Well, I went to see your doctor one night and, if you recall, he did the surgery at no charge."

"I recall that," said Henry. "And you did it to save my life, so of course I can forgive you for that. Now tell me about the third time."

"All right," Martha said. "So do you remember when you ran for president of your Corvette club, and you needed 73 more votes?

I'm pretty sure it won't. When I was working for the USPS I had to deliver a package of cremated human remains to the recipient. The corner of the box leaked a small amount ashes over the counter. The customer just raised their shoulders like "Oh well!" After all, the cremated didn't care. He was already dead.

Good morning Guys....I'm laughing already. I'm ready to go to school, just an hour and a half from now....

GS has a game today, if it doesn't get canceled. It shouldn't the snowy weather has stopped, the roads aren't bad, just a little slick in spots.

Tommy, I hope the wife bounces back quickly. Matt, you'll find that the more kids you have, the more difficult it will be to get them to cooperate all at the same time. Marcus, so you guys bought iRon, I didn't know he was for sale...speaking of Ron, I need to clean the dust collector too, might be a good thing to try and get done today. Bill, glad to see you back today, have they given you any indication when the cabinets will be there? Sucks that you have the cart in front of the horse.

Well, I need to go get my GSs ready to go to school.

Yea, cabinets were to show up, Jan. 7th - 10th, now they were supposed to ship yesterday, uncomfirmed, add a week to get here, bite me.

Maytag: we'll deliver on Jan. 4th, no, Jan.10th, no Jan 20th.

Am I supprised? Noooooo.

Dust collector is finished, a nice thin layer of powdery dust covers the shop, hallway, kids, their clothes. Good thing we have dust masks. Waste Management recycles this stuff. We can fill a normal size dumpster. That lowers our carbon foot print. Our floor vents have sucked up mice.

But then, I saved a shitload of money.

The delivery guys just left, did a great job, no scratches.

Now I got a lot of work to do including tearing the gas range apart to switch from natural gas to liquid prophane.

Boooommmmm.

Had the same problem in Nov. with a dishwasher, 4 confirmed dates later it arrived. Got in on one of those deals where you save 20% on their sale price.

We bought a refrigerator from them, got put off 3 times, finally went in and bought one they had on hand, ended up spending more....don't know if we saved anything or not. When we went dishwasher, washer/dryer shopping the wife said we are not even going to HD to look. It pissed her off so much she won't even consider them for appliances anymore, and she is the calm, level headed of the two of us.

Hey guys - still sick here. went to see another doc today. A severe virus settled in my throat. I have been eating smoothies for a few days. Great way to lose weight!!

Tommy - glad the wife is recovering!
Matt - I love the movie Cars! I think I have watched it more than my niece and nephew!

Pete sent me an email a couple days ago, said that he is close to finishing the transmission. Things are moving along.

To be realistic, I ordered this stuff 12/28, the computer at HD said 1/4 delivery. Then pushed to 1/10 then 1/20. that's 3 weeks with the Xmas/New Years thing.

The Maytag DW I got has a stainless steel interior and has steam clean and sanitize to an ANSI spec.

This oughta be good, I better devote a whole day to it.
