Good Morning CGs!

Got home late last night. On a whim around 7:30 my wife decided she wanted to hit up the local legal gambling establishment near our house. I think we showed up around 9:15 and the place was packed. Couldn't get a seat at any table or slot. We wandered around for a bit and eventually found a couple slot machines to play. We had zero luck. Together we dropped about $80 in the slots within an hour. No hits, no bonus spins, no extra games. It would have been less painful if Guido had just punched me in the stomach and taken the bills directly out of my pocket. To top it off, I hate going to the casino on the weekends, and now I remember why. Never again. Oh well, my wife enjoyed getting out of the house after a long work week.

On better news, the car is running again. Had a few setbacks along the way, nuisances more than anything, but it's done. Firing it up was like sweet music to my ears yesterday evening. Can't wait to drive it.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Good morning guys...I'm sore and stiff this morning, not used to that type of work. I'm leaving in about 5 minutes to head back to our hometown for a visit. Weather is supposed to be around 80 so we are taking the Corvette.

Better go get it out.....Have a great Sunday.

Glad to hear the car is running. (I'm sure your wife feels better about it too). She might think that your done tinkering with it for awhile. We all know there could be nothing farther from the truth.

Broke out of the safety and confines of my lair and went to a party for awhile last night. A girl from my wifes' old neighborhood turned 50. They were a bunch of people that were in the same classes in school together so there were lots of other people that turn 50 this year at the party. The theme was hippy. I didn't know that when I showed up but there were lots of people in biker and hippy attire. The people that dressed like bikers were ...... bikers. LOL. The party was a flashback of years gone by for me. They had a band playing, a pizza delivery car pulled up a couple times when I was there and there was a full bar. I saw some people drifting off into the shadows. Who knows what was going on over there. It was an outdoor party at my BILS tree farm. He has it fixed up nice with Tiki Huts, a pool with a huge waterfall. He has parties out the several times a year. One of the partiers was driving a T-Rex, an interesting 3 wheeled contaption. It was a nice visit with days gone by. Don't miss it though. I did a really good job with it the first time through.

Good Sunday Morning to you all,

The weather should be nice here again today. I was correct in that I didn't get my whole list accomplished yesterday but I'll hit it again today and see where I get.

Matt - great that the Vette is running again. I'm getting anxious to get mine going. I did get some stuff put back on yesterday. Thanks to Bill, I was able to remember a few things that I had not documented.

Tom - I hope you guys have nice trip today in your Vette. Sounds like fun to me.

I started messing with the rear brakes the other night. Got them off for a good cleaning. There is so much brake dust, dirt and crud back there on the hubs and suspension pieces, I should not have opened that can of worms at this time. I'm going to just do a cursory cleaning and put them back together before I get crazy ideas like installing new Banski hardware back there.

Anyhow, us dreamers have to dream about something! Have a nice day. Chat later

My wife called me a few minute ago with gasoline news. Price Reg $3.69 Premium $3.99. Cost to fill up the box truck from 1/4 tank $92.00. There will be no economic recovery coming fast the way things are going. Disposable income will all be lost at the pumps until Libya becomes the latest country to join the EU.

I thought I took a lot of pictures before I pulled my engine. I was wrong. There were lots of little things I forgot and had to try to remember or reroute when putting it back together. Waiting over a month to reinstall it makes it worse. You forget the minor details. If I ever did it again, I'd build the block first, then pull/install same weekend.

If it was in the garage, I probably couldn't find it.

Under the bed's full of monsters or C2 parts, I forget which.

Good Sunday to you. My son had a bunch of his rowdy freinds over last night and they were still going on the vid games at 3:30 this morning. I had to tell them enough already. Then Ultrawoman got sick and so that kept us up and I finally got back to sleep at 5:00 this am. Nuts!

Sorry to see the Guru lucky streak fizzle, but like my Dad used to say, if you get bucked off you gotta get right back on. Sooo you need to head back today and hit it again.

Well I got the fuel pump job done with Matts help. I printed out his how to with pics and had them with me while I did it. Mine was the original pump I think since it came apart hard and at one time the pump had gotten hot enough to melt the plastic where the wires plug in. Yikes! It was running with full pressure when I shut it off after my Dyno runs. My wiring was different then Matts showed and that was an issue but I hope to have it fixed. You can look at the post I made yesterday for more detail.

Got church in a bit so gotta go. Tee Bee you have a good day and Don just order the Banski's you deserve it and it's only money. I am the Justifier!

Go forth and multiply my Guru's!

LMAO!

I slept in real good today - I think I finally made up that hour from switching to DST. Gas prices here are around 3.44 for regular - Tommy needs to move to tropical MN. Maybe enough snow will melt today from the rain so that I can get into the shed. That Banksi stuff always has me drooling - I may have to think about the trailing arms and new delrin spring bushings. Hope your Mrs. feels better soon, Marcus!

Enjoy your day, all!

Good afternoon gang.
My mission today was to pull the superram off my junk, and install larger injectors.
Mission accomplished, sorta.
Pulled it apart, and broke a bunch of hard plastic vacuum lines.
Ohm tested the new injectors, and installed the fuel rail.
No leaks, and dressed the flanges, bolts and threads of the manifold.
While I am in Tampa tomorrow, I will round up the plastic hoses, and finish it up next saturday.
Already have the new tune.
Thanks mseven!!

Gonna drink a few lite beers, and pack up for tomorrows 6am flight.

The return of Tommy Homemaker. Made some chicken tenderloins, gravy, white rice, green beans and have a shrimp ring with cocktail sauce appertizer. For dessert, fresh made cookie/brownies. That's brownie batter with dollops of cookie dough dropped in. Mrs T-Bone is working another weekend show. She a works hard for the money. I like to do my part. She deserves it. Now it's time to vacuum.

Still cooking in the bathroom? Usually smells from there make me nauseous, not hungry.

Daughter had a good time at the movies. After that we went to the discount bookstore next to the movies and I scored a cheap haynes c3 repair book and she got a little book, too. After that we went to Macy's - wife got a new shirt and so did I. Spending that tax money and I don't even have it yet!

A pirate walked into a bar. The bartender said, "Hey, I haven't seen you in a while! What happened? You look terrible!"

"What do you mean?" said the pirate, "I feel fine."

"What about the wooden leg? You didn't have that before."

"Well," said the pirate, "We were in a battle, and I got hit with a cannon ball, but I'm fine now."

The bartender replied, "Well, OK, but what about that hook? What happened to your hand?"

The pirate explained, "We were in another battle. I boarded a ship and got into a sword fight. My hand was cut off. I got fitted with a hook but I'm fine, really."

"What about that eye patch?"

"Oh," said the pirate, "One day we were at sea, and a flock of birds flew over. I looked up, and one of them shit in my eye."

"You're kidding!" said the bartender. "You couldn't lose an eye just from bird shit."

The pirate said, "It was my first day with the hook."

Daughter had a good time at the movies. After that we went to the discount bookstore next to the movies and I scored a cheap haynes c3 repair book and she got a little book, too. After that we went to Macy's - wife got a new shirt and so did I. Spending that tax money and I don't even have it yet!

Evening guys....I made it home. Had a nice steak dinner with the wife and a nice drive in the Corvette. It drove so nice and we made 25.1 mpg on the trip. 84 degrees, wish I could have spent more time outside today. Supposed to be 80 again tomorrow, so I'll take some time and clean up "ole red". I will also put the bathroom back together. It will be nice to have that job done.

Sounds like everyone had a great Sunday. KU is playing and kicking some butt right now.
