Good morning, all!

Slept badly last night after a stressful day at work. My wife told me I could sleep in another hour or so, but I had no confidence I would get back to sleep so into work I go.

Another stressful day today - vendor contract negotiations are coming to a head.

There's good news on the Wildwood Regional front. Our two National Team Leaders for C4s suggested that we split the registration in a different way to get more cars into the show. So we divided late C4s up and I made two owners very happy last night. We're now at precisely 100 total Corvettes, with 68 to be flight judged and 14 (including me) to attempt a performance verification. The rest of the cars are display cars or Sportsman (driver) cars.

Good Morning CGs!

Back to the daily grind for me. Not in the working mood today. Oh well.

At least I get to drive the car to work today

Hope everyone has a great day!

Joun, is thst the Delaware Valley chapter?

Well, I'll still believe it when I see it but, the granite guys are supposed to show up today with my new countertops.
Damn I want to get this project done.

I still have a buttload of tile work to do, 200 tiles on the backsplash and 130 sq. of floor tiles.

Plus I need to go over the C4 for the racetrack this weekend.

Bill,

It's the Central New Jersey Chapter (relatively new chapter), but lots of folks (including us) have dual affiliations: my wife is Vice Chairman at Del Val and I'm the lowly newsletter editor.

Good morning guys....John, that sounds like a pretty good get-together. Matt, your weather must be better than ours...it's cold here and drizzly. Bill, I have hopes that your granite will show so you can get that project complete.

Just another day at school for me today. I have a few things that I need to do, so I'll be visiting a few people after school today.

I'll check in later.

We have some people who have been in Del Val for a long time - we actually just recently added a chapter historian. Do you know Dick Robinson, Donald Klumpp, Al Schwacke, or Bob Cook?

Klumpp sounds kinda familiar but that was years ago (late 70's).
I used to meet up with Chip Miller in York and 4 of us would ride to the meetings together.

Good Morning! Stayed up way to late messing with the music minutes thread. One song gets me thinking of another and then I like to listen to them all. That was a good one yesterday. Lots of good rock and roll.

Bill when the granite guys get done have them swing by here and drop off my header will you. It must be the same bunch.

Not much going on in work until the weather fixes. Gave the help the day off today. Never easy in ag.

Work stress is a bitch so you got to burn that stress off somehow. I work on my car to burn off stress......but I am stressed there because I can't get any parts......sooo I guess I will take some naps today.

It's all good! Have a safe day Guru's!

Howdy! Not much cooking here, other than that I need to find a better solution for a serpentine belt tool. What a PITA with the camber brace in there.

Have a good day, everyone!

Marcus, I take it the header did not make it there yesterday....what a crock (or should I say crook?) This doesn't make me want to do business with such a company.

Brad, I thought the serpentine belt was a PITA and mine didn't have a camber brace.

Last night I went to one of the meetings for a local car club. It was held at one of the members homes where he does blacksmith/metal working. He had the kiln fired up and made a few small items. It was pretty cool, and he had made several of the machines he uses. His work can be seen nationwide.

Good afternoon.
I was up at 5:30 and out the door around 6:15. Started the restaurant job today. The concrete guys were still laying the berm. We were hot on their tail. We meaning my wife and her crew. I picked up some trash, unloaded some plants and of course drove the truck up and back. I performed some of my duties as a site inspector also. Think I'll go inspect the back of my eyelids for about an hour or so. I have some paperwork on the 928 that has to be done. For those that missed it I posted a couple of good married guy jokes late last night on Monday Chat.

I hear you on the sleeping poorly. Been going through that the last 2 nights. Got to work 30 minutes late this morning because I couldn't get my ass in gear.

Marcus, I can't believe that you still are waiting on one header...WTF?

I don't think the serp belt on my L98 is that bad. I had it off a couple of times last night. I bet the camber brace does make it much more difficult though. I've never messed with the LT1 either.

Bill, I'm glad the granite guys showed up finally.

I got to work on the the Vette last night, teacher cancelled class. Put on my AIR pump delete bracket and installed my base tune from Mick. I should have read the directions for the Moates adapter first though. Took me three tries to put it in there in the correct formation. Once I got it all in there correctly I was truly impressed at how much less noise my Bosch III's make.

I got class tonight though so no garage fun for me.

Anyone else been following the CorvetteMike thread on CF?

Have a great day guru's!

Jeff

Actually, the doors and windows are open. The damn granite glue smells like (and as bad) as fiberglass resin.

Bill it has to be a sign that good things are going to happen all over. In a flush of optimisum I called TPiS to see where my header is, thinking the UPS truck was just driving up. No such luck. They said it would be at my door on Friday. I said this Friday or a Friday in fricking June. I said how can it take 7 weeks to make a stupid header?

They gave me the song and dance about everything is sourced out now and they are at the mercy of their vendors. I told them I would like to drive my car this summer if that was ok with them. I also told them I know Brad from up in their country and not to make me send him down there. That got their attention I'm telling ya.

We will see if it happens or not. Once I have it in hand then I can call them and rip them a new one.

Since our School Corp. has blocked about everything on the planet, I have to wait until I get home to participate. Another productive day in the shop, architects were out today measuring and calculating HVAC specs and volumne of air that can be moved by the current system once the classroom walls are constructed. They will start the first week of June. 42 school days left.

Ron, When you and Tom make the official leap across the abyss you will not believe the feeling of freedom that will overwhelm you. It will be a whole new world. Well .... same world but your view will be totally different. It will be hard to get that stupid grin off your faces. Remember I said this. I want an official report in about 2 years. I know Tom is dealing with some financial realignments with his retirement program. When you get it all straightened out there will be peace in the valley. There will still be work to do, just a different kind of work. Jump on in. The water's fine.

The granite guys just left, 5 hour install, high quality work.

The blue pearl in the granite is mindblowing. But I haven't been able to get a good pic yet, stupid Pentax camera.

AND the head guy made me an offer on my motorcycle trailer that I couldn't refuse so that helps with the install cost.

Speaking of casinos, I watched these guys work real hard puttin' in the granite, almost worked up a sweat. But I did get thirsty so, I decided to take $20 down to the casino and have an afternoon Pilsner.

Won $480.00
