Good Morning Guru Nation. Hot here today, 90 with some wind. As I expected no spring just winter and summer. That's like Montana, with 2 seasons, winter and the 4th of July.

Work as usual today with about another week of planting if no rain. Good to see the return of the lost continue. Have a great day everybody!

Just another manic Monday. I was thinking it would be great to get back into the swing of things. Seems I was wrong.(again). Doing vacation stuff has a lot more appeal. I'm gonna do a short recap of the trip with pics in a seperate thread. Here's one I'm sure you've all been waiting for.

Good morning Gurus!

Ten days left til moving day.

Hoping to be in Columbia, MO on the 19th around 5-6 pm. Probably head to Durango Boy's place. Maybe we could all meet there? There is a rumor going around regarding Hooters, but hey... What do I know?

Here's hoping I can meet several of you.

And get an awesome job in PA so I can afford a Vette. You guys are too much fun!

Congrats on the new job, crash! Kick ass today!

The rest of you knuckleheads do the same!

Good Morning Gurus!

It looks like another nice day today. I should take a day off work and go down and work on the Vette instead!!

Good luck on the job Rich! I'd be in the Chevy dealership in a minute if I didn't have so much time wrapped up in what I do! I love the interaction with the people and other salesmen. I love the cars and I think I'd do well at new car sales.

Tommy - nice photo. I'm trying to decide if that is you with the sword, or you with no head!

Chris's return thread got me to thinking and we have lots of good days but the sun can't shine every day. It rains on some days too! Oh, I think that is a song!!
I'll leave you with this today. Keep your chins up and move forward!

I hope yours is Sunny today!

Greetings! Spectacular lightning show on the way to the office this morning, raining like mad. I'm guessing the weekly cruise-in will be washed out tonight. A good day to have a roof over one's head.

Best of luck with your new gig, Rich!

Have a good day, everyone!

No, the sun can't shine everyday. Yesterday, it was 65 and I was out on the deck working.
This morning it's snowing - go figure.
It will be 75 tomorrow,

Don't matter much to me cause I'm playing with mud, cementboard and tile.

Howdy!
Not much going on today--besides work--typical Monday--typical month--typical 'critical' quarter--Blah..blah..blah..
Helped daughter (4yrs old next month) yesterday make cards, etc, for Mothers day... Just seeing her excitement when we were cutting, pasting, coloring....Man, that's the good stuff right there...Wouldn't trade that for anything...She's growing up wayyyyy to fast....

Here's a photo we took back in Dec at Wrightsville beach... We didn't see this when we took the pic...only showed up after...Purty cool!

Hope all have good day/week!

A rainbow is an optical and meteorological phenomenon that causes a spectrum of light to appear in the sky when the Sun shines on to droplets of moisture in the Earth's atmosphere. It takes the form of a multicoloured arc. Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the sun.

In a so-called "primary rainbow" (the lowest, and also normally the brightest rainbow) the arc of a rainbow shows red on the outer (or upper) part of the arc, and violet on the inner section. This rainbow is caused by light being reflected once in droplets of water. In a double rainbow, a second arc may be seen above and outside the primary arc, and has the order of its colours reversed (red faces inward toward the other rainbow, in both rainbows). This second rainbow is caused by light reflecting twice inside water droplets. The region between a double rainbow is dark. The reason for this dark band is that, while light below the primary rainbow comes from droplet reflection, and light above the upper (secondary) rainbow also comes from droplet reflection, there is no mechanism for the region between a double rainbow to show any light reflected from water drops, at all.

Although legendary, triple rainbows (in the same style and angle as double rainbows) are impossible, since a third reflection of light inside water drops would put their rays close to the direction of the Sun, and they would thus be invisible. Some phenomena (such as "supernumerary arcs" very close to, and inside primary arcs) may be mistaken for "triple rainbows." It is also impossible for an observer to manoeuvre to see any rainbow from water droplets at any angle other than the customary one (which is 42 degrees from the direction opposite the Sun). Even if an observer sees another observer who seems "under" or "at the end" of a rainbow, the second observer will see a different rainbow further off-yet, at the same angle as seen by the first observer. Thus, a "rainbow" is not a physical object, and cannot be physically approached

Afternoon folks...It's been a busy day, don't ask me what I've accomplished, I can't tell you, but it's been busy. "THE END IS NEAR" at least the end of the school year tends to get hectic. I've got kids doing paper work required for VocEd funding, then later, I'll put it all together in a form that the state wants.

It is hot again today, and I do mean hot 90 already and the SW wind is blowing about 20-25 with gusts to 35, so it feels like a blast furnace. One more day of hot then we retreat back to spring for a few days. We had record highs yesterday, 101.

I haven't seen a rainbow in months, but it's hard to have a rainbow if it never rains.

Wow. I had to take Friday off of work to finish up all the final exams and projects for the spring semester. Spent 9 hours finishing up all that. Now I am free..for a couple of weeks anyway.
I made my wife breakfast in bed for Mothers day yesterday then she broke the glass that I put her milk in and sliced the palm of her hand open. Almost started mothers day at the ER. Once she finally calmed down enough for me to look at it I realized it wasn't that deep and we got her patched up.

I might actually get some garage time in to see if I can figure out what's up with the Vette. It killed me to not drive it this weekend since we had beautiful weather.

Tommy, looks like you had a nice trip. Glad everyone made it home safely.

Seems like there is a lot of moving and shaking going on in everyone's personal life. Best of luck to everyone!

I think it hit 100 degrees here today. I think TB sent that right on up to us after he enjoyed it. Nice wind also.

My daughter wants a Corvette for her 21st birthday.....I can't afford to get her one but I did ask her what about a hot camero and she said Naaaa, I'm only interested in Vettes Dad. (sniff, what a great kid.....sniff)

Sorry got a little emotional there. maybe when she gets out of college.
