Still having connectivity issues. AT&T is putiing up U-Verse cables so it may be part of it. I have downloaded every windows fix I can think of. (Windows cannot display the webpage) Keeps dropping out on me.

Wifey has been working her real job so the house has been rather quiet.

Good morning, all!

Cool and drizzling in Philadelphia: a reasonably typical fall day. Stared at the convertible a little longingly this morning as we got into the daily driver at 6:20 AM. It's supposed to get a little warmer and a lot nicer over the rest of the week.

More interviewing this morning and (of course) preparing the University's reactions to whatever Apple's iPhone and iOS announcements are later today.

Have a good day, all.

Juggling work and car this morning - lots of phone calls/emails in between trying to get the $%^#&# cross brace back on. Family coming into town tonight, vacation with them next week... looking forwards to some R&R time!

Hi guys need to do some quick housecleaning today. My wife and her book club group traveled to NY City Last Fri through today to watch four Broadway Shows and watch Letterman Monday at the Ed Sllivan Theatre. Four days of guy stuff. PETA would not approve of my diet.
Went to the Cadillac Threatre in Chicago a few years ago to see Phantom of the Opera with my wife and friends. Fell asleep twice. Word association Phantom-F4 Saturday night ate dinner at our local VFW post, 14oz sirloin steak 12 shrimp baked potatoes, and salad for $15 bucks. dollar beers. Interesting group, Irag and Afgan vets are joining our happy little group. The post was built in 1982 and is really a nice place. The waitress and bar tender call you by your service rank. So Master Chief Ron when are you going to let me drive your vette, or whats a nice guy like you doing teaching. Kinda nice when people know your name.
Sunday night decided to purge a lot of old stuff, filled a Curb side dumpster with old teaching material, later that night decided to burn my ear collection plus some hippie beads. Anyway productive weekend, need to cut graas today and make right what a 80lb collie and I did to the kitchen.

Been doin' that...........Seriously.

I've been putting together a pile of parts to paint, the large carrier to frame mount, bumper brackets, gas tank frame mount & tank straps, trans & rear end mounts, etc.

All had to be stripped of paint & rust first. I had to buy a handheld sandblaster at HF the other day to do a couple parts that were too large to fit in the glass bead cabinet, a real PIA sittin' in the driveway sandblasting.

I'll probably have 30+ parts to paint satin black but the weather's been windy so I can't paint outside until next week.

And I have to get the C4 ready to head to Sacramento on Friday - big NCRS meet. I'm going to take pics of restored 67's. Then Saturday, hitting the race track, instructing, couple laps in the 92,etc.

Guess my spring housecleaning can wait until.....ah...spring.

Nice day here in Chi-town. Drove the Vette to work yesterday and today and I'll probably drive it the rest of the week. Taking advantage of this beautiful weather!

Picked myself up a new snowblower over the weekend:

New Snowblower

I always wanted a two-stage machine, and since the blizzrd last February pretty much killed my trusty 11-year-old Murry two-cycle, I figured it was about time. I really don't want to use the term "I can't wait for it to snow", but I'm curious now to see how this thing performs. Wondering if it'll be overkill on 1"-2" of snow. It has three forward speeds and one reverse, and I had never used a two-stage self-propelled snow blower before. During a dry-run in my driveway, I put it in third gear and hit the drive lever and it just about pulled my arms out of their sockets. Wasn't expecting that!

I'm also taking the Vette in this Friday after work to have the wheels rebalanced. The previous owner had installed a set of Toyo Proxes 4's on it shortly before I bought the car two years ago, as the tires looked almost new and still had the little rubber nibs on them. The place that mounted them though did a horse-poop job. Three of my wheels have huge clumps of wheel weights at various places on them, but my right front has NO weights, unless they're hidden on the back side of the wheel. The steering wheel gets to vibrating noticeably at speeds over 55 mph or so. Been dealing with it all summer and finally decided to get it taken care of.

Come on Friday!!

Have a good one Gurus!

Ron

Was short on time this morn. Drove the vette to work and the new fpr diaphragm performed flawlessly. Excellent throttle response, running great. Taking the kids for photos tonight for #2s bday!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Ron

1-2 inches of snow, 2ond maybe. My 24 inch has 5 forward speeds & I can use 2ond for up to 5 in. but, the snow here is powder. If the snow sits in the sun and gets wet, I can only use first without bogging it down because you're packing up the augar. I can go thru 8 in of powder in first.

You'll find a nice difference using a 2 stage.

And yea, high gear will yank your arms really good.

By the way, here it's nice in the A.M. Hot in the afternoon and cool again in the evening. Looking forward to winter driving weather. My night vision sucks more and more every year so I tend to limit it to daytime hours. That way I can spend the evening eating snacks and putting a dent in the couch.

I'm sitting here with my TENS unit cranked up - I boogered up my neck/shoulder a couple weeks ago working on the deck stairs. I forgot I had this gizmo, we'll see if it helps. I got a new DeWalt portable table saw the other day and gave it a whirl after work - cuts like buttah!

Evening guys...The wife and I went to the local council on Aging dinner.....I really enjoy going to those....No, really, the older folks there are really great people, and they serve good food. Came home from that and went for a bike ride. One of these days, I've got to get out in the shop and do some work. I have a couple little jobs to do. Too tired now...maybe tomorrow.

I don't know Tom but I believe one sure sign of getting older is going to a Council on Aging dinner, asying you met some really great people, and thought the food was good.

Do they make hurricane blowers? Didn't think so. I'll stick with snow.
