Happy Thanksgiving Day. Make it a point to give thanks today and everyday. It's easy to get caught up in the daily grind and forget. Develop an attitude of gratitude. We are all very fotunate to have what we have no matter how great or small. I may make a contibution to the local American Indian tribe later today but I'm actually hoping to withraw some of the assets I have left behind through the years. Going to the casino/resort for Thanksgiving dinner. The family enjoys doing that. Get a big table set up, eat whatever we want including desserts, chat, and later, just get up and leave. No prep, no clean up, just eat and talk. Cost about $22 a head. Well worth the convenience. Enjoy your day, and remember, no matter how bad you think your life is, somebody has it worse. In most cases .... much worse. |

I plan on eating to much, laughing a lot, and dozing off in front of the big screen watching football......if that isn't DNFBS, I don't know what is..... Enjoy Guru's.......  |

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I can't believe it's already Thanksgiving. I have much to be thankful for this year.
We are driving to my parent's house this morning. They live about an hour from us. My sister and her family will be there as well, so it will be a nice reunion of everyone. Looks like a great Football Thanksgiving as well. I'm rooting for the Baltimore Ravens over SF, and wishing for a win for Miami over Dallas. Not caring too much about the Green Bay / Detroit game but it should be a good game. |

Started putting up Christmas decorations this morning. Figured I'd get a jump on it. Tomorrow I'll finish the front yard then start inside with the tree, etc. Having a Griswold Christmas. (not really)

Good Evening CGs!
Got up this morning and started doing chores. Got the Christmas lights up, cut the lawn for the last time this season, cleaned up the bunny cage, fed the kids lunch. Then I got a haircut, worked out, cleaned up and went to wife's aunt/uncle's house for dinner. Ate a reasonable plate, but not feeling too well now. Not sure why. Sleep should help. I hit one sale this morning, the local Fred's store had small heaters that look like a little black wood burning stove - my bedroom heater just konked out so since it was only $49 instead of $79 and the one I was about to buy was $39... what the heck. I got there just in time for the door to be unlocked, not a crowd at all, calmly got my heater, shopped some more and left. Got an invite to a friend's house for 1pm holiday lunch, went there, then came home and napped for a couple hours, then drove to the next town to take my elderly cousin some cheesecake I'd made and some of my deer jerky. She loves that stuff. She'd made me some things as well. Came home and the lady across the street figured I'd need supper so she had me a plate ready with turkey, dressing, mac and cheese and green beans. Groovy. I'm all set.

Took the Vette out today and had a nice drive.....got on it from about 30 mph on up to 120 or so, pulled hard all the guages were normal....then got home and the check engine lite was on. I will check it later this weekend.

Back from the casino. Some of the food was good like the prime rib and the salmon. Passed on the turkey. Didn't want to get too sleepy. Left with a full stomach and an empty wallet, More than an empty wallet really. I tagged the ATM machine so I could double up to catch up. My plan didn't work though. The machine next to the one I was playing made two different people a little happier. That happens to me all the time. I have a feeling that one day I'll be a big winner. Course, that's only a feeling.
Well that's my gambling budget for the next couple of months. I won't want to go back for awhile until I forget about this time.Does anybody know why they call slot machines one armed bandits? |

The wife and I decided to go to Wally world to check out a few of the specials........what a f*@#ing rat race. picked up one item, stood in line for 30 minutes (and that was fast). Got the h3ll out of there, not freaking worth it.
