Good Morning CGs!

Hope everyone had a good Turkey Day yesterday. We have some leftovers today to munch on for lunch.

No big shopping for me. Wifey is at work and I'm with the kids. I'm not taking them out to the stores in this madness. No thanks. I'll stay home and keep the madness inside.

Not sure what we'll do today. Wife did mention going to the furniture store when she gets home....

Hope everyone has a great day!

Mmmmmmm turkey for breakfast.....and lunch......and dinner.

Morning Guru's...going into Lincoln to watch the Huskers take on the Iowa Hawkeyes. Should be a win for us but I have said that before. Anyway it's a good way to spend a day with my son.

The series with Iowa has been off and on over the years dating all the way back to 1891. That's a long time ago. NU leads the series 26-12-3......thought you'd want to know.

No shopping for me I got all I need.......ok my car may need a few things......

Have a good day everybody!

Morning guys....I'm up, but if you read yesterdays chat, the wife and I tried the BF thing and it was a zoo. Screw that. I have a b-ball goal to put up today and maybe some lights on the other daughters house.

Jimi followed his own drummer even then. Marcus have a good time, I think the weather is going to be decent for you. Bill, Turkey can be included in lots of things....

Good luck w/ each of your endeavors today. Yesterday I spent a few hours putting a new water pump on the wife's Suburban. Not too bad a job, but it managed to remove a bit of flesh from the big knuckle on my left thumb. Bled out far more than I expected it to.
Today I'm running the boy to a friends house, do lunch w/ my homies, then it's the final leaf job and putting the mower away w/ fresh oil.

Sigh ...

... brand new Michelins (couple of a hundred miles ) took a nail in the driver's side rear while Ivelis was driving Louis up to see her BFF (who is also a crazy Corvette person). They plugged it at the local Sunoco, but of course I want to see it and make sure everything is okay.

I've always preferred an inside patch over a plug. Is the tire under a road hazard warranty? Did the plug void the warranty? Sucks but the same thing happened on my pretty new FSWOs. Had an inside patch that lasted till the tires weatherchecked. Tires had less than 10k on them. I learned, it's better to burn out than fade away.

Howdy! We just got back from our trip up north, had a great time. I wish I had leftovers, dinner was just phenomenal. We were all at my niece's house - her husband is quite a hunter and fisherman, and has a lot of very cool mounts. He does rock fireplaces, etc. for a living and his work is exquisite - I'll have to put up some pics when I get a chance. Anyway, a good time was had by all, and I am still full.

I am home and tired after spending the day at the track - working. They are building a new track, 2 miles and 16 curves, 216 garages, kart course and auto X course only 45 minutes from my house. Deal is if you make 4 six packs of tires you get a free track day. Not nearly as easy as it might sound. Teamed up with another guy and it took as all day to make up 4 six packs, so we are both 1/2 way there.
Plan is to go back next Saturday and make up 4 more six packs so we each have a free track day.

No pics, still under construction, but I did get to drive on part of the track today. Check Atlanta Motorsports Park

Banding tires is fun........NOT!

Are you using nylon webbing and a banding tool?

High performance tires that will be "exercised" should be fixed with a patch/plug. That being said, I've used standard plugs on mine a few times from nails.

It'll be worth it for the track time.

I had unlimited free track time at the Reno track for quite a few years. Then the track changed owners and I lost it all.
