Awwwwww, bummer! Never got to see him in person, but I sure read a lot about him back in the old days. RIP, Mr. Jenkins.

Bill jenkins is an absolute legend. In high school, I remember reading about him, along with Sox&Martin and others. When he started winning with a sbc in a Vega, it taught the world a lesson in power to weight ratios. I never got to meet the man, but may get the hole shot on the devil and rest in peace.

Very sad......I have so many memories of the Grump. I never actually met him, but I watched him race many times at Bristol, starting back in the '60s in a Nova, then on to the Camaros, Vegas, etc. He changed the way Pro Stock Drag Racing was done. Rest in Peace, Grump!

He was at the Chicago Corvette and Muscle Car Show a couple months back signing "Grumpy's Toy" posters for $5 a pop.
There was a line of guys waiting. I got one.
He looked old and frail and... grumpy, but sharp. RIP

I was probably there (Bristol) John. We went to Bristol quite a few times.
I'm not sure when Grumpy started driving, he was tuning Daves cars first then as the money came in they were both driving. They built 100's of cars.
