Good Morning Gurus!

I'm a little behind this morning. My compy at work had some updates to download before I started.

Snow on the way for me tonight. I am SO done with winter, it's not funny.

So, how's things?

Another hot/wet day in paradise. With a high of 80 and a forecast of rain most of the day (we need the rain) I've had it with the heat!

No rain... I think my cold has finally left the building. Last night I was SO damned achy... my knees hurt like crazy and were actually HOT! I slept if off, and woke about 0300 all cold and shivering...l that's called the fever breaking. I feel MUCH better today.

I still have a little congestion and a touch of a tickle in my throat, but the worst has passed.

Gawd I hate being sick. Luckily it happens to me very rarely, but when it does it's never the sniffles and a cough, it's a knock-down drag-out brawl with germs that lays me out for a week or more. Sucks.

I just sit there and get pissed off about all of the things I can not do that I want to, like go out, work on the car, drive the car, drive the car to work, work on the car so I can drive it to work, etc...

My wife and I had our first kiss up on Mt. Washington, by the incline. I lived in New Eagle, commuted an hour every day to the Ross Park Mall, where I was the manager of a Kay Bee Toy & Hobby.

She lived in Munhall, practically across the street from the old steel mills. I hear there has been a lot of development where the mills used to be. I haven't been back to PA since about '99.

Oh, crap... Nevermind. So much talk about PA, I was thinking you were from there. Seems like several members here are. Dang, that is quite a drive!

Windy, rainy today and tomorrow. Every workday is like the movie Grounhog Day. Very predictable. Three day weekend coming up. Something to look forward to.

It was a pretty quiet day at work today. I was able to get a bit of work done. It never got above freezing and we had some fine snow flurries. No accumulation. But man was it cold. Tomorrow is supposed to be back up around 50. Crazy weather for sure. All the schools around us are closed due to flu. I guess our county is next.

The wife is coming along well after back surgery. She is starting to get out a little bit. We go to the doctor tomorrow for a follow-up visit.

I got several parts in from Eckler's today. Now I have to find the time to put them on. It is mostly cosmetic repairs.

Hope everyone had a nice day and a great tomorrow.

Cool and rainy here today. But tomorrow and Friday promise to be better. My guys made some major progress on some fabrication and other work today, finishing one job completely. Yesterday was mostly a screw-off day but we had a lot of fun and did some team-building. We worked on refurbishing, modifying and installing an old wood stove in the shop, since wood around here is plentiful and free. Our wood stove has headers, a connecting rod for a door handle, a spinner wheel cap for air adjustment, some '58 Ford chrome trim and etc. Everyone contributed their ideas and personal aesthetic touch. By the end of the day it was getting downright silly. It was great! In the long run, a seemingly such non-productive day will be very productive, IMO. All of us from the owner down to the greenest trainee get along great, have fun and I haven't seen a problem yet that we can't collectively solve. Have I mentioned that I love my job? :thumbleft:
