Good Morning CGs!

Last day here at my folks' house, should be cutting out soon for the drive home.

RR#2 has been running a fever for about a day and a half now, not sure what's wrong exactly.

I was able to fix the door switch issues on the vette finally last night. Included using a spacer on the passenger side to make it engage correctly.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Those are funny Tommy....Yeah Matt that's the same bunch that was here...they can really confuse folks who don't know what real Christianity is all about....and it isn't about what they are saying.....morons...

I have an announcement to make.....today for the first time in my life I am going in to Lincoln and visit......wait for it......the Harbor Freight store...that I didn't even know exsisted until while talking about inch lb torque wrenches TB told me he got one for a great price at HF....Then he said don't you have one in Lincoln or Omaha? So that got me looking and here I go after church....I was going to take the C5 in then got to thinking.....I better take the Duramax....

More on that later......I better take no credit cards or checks just some cash.....

That's it for me...I continue to help Uwoman on the upstairs hanging pics and doing some trim work...she has worked like a dog up there completley redoing 3 rooms...it looks great...pics when its done....

Stay outa trouble Guru's....cooler here today only in mid 80's......Bill get that swamp cooler fired up ur going to need it.....

That reminds me....do any of you guys remember those swamp coolers for cars that somehow rolled up on the passenger side window...? I think you put water in them and the car moving turned the fan and moved cooler air into the cabin......I can remember seeing them when I was a kid....help me out here Guru's.....

Greetings! Looks like I can take the top off the Vette again - since I have to go back to work tomorrow, it'll be sunny and 80's all week, of course. I want a vacation mulligan.

Enjoy your day, Gurus!

It was 96 yesterday, I had to turn on the cooler @ 4 p.m., turned it off at 7:30 when the breeze cooled down.

You can get one of those car coolers, un restored, for anout a grand now.

Morning guys....yea Marcus I remember those coolers. We had one that we put in the 57 Fairlaine mom and dad had in the early 60's. Seems like mom used to put ice in it to make it colder. Bill, the HF torque wrenches I wouldn't use for real critical situations, but for checking torque on wheels and battery posts it works ok.

Just another day in paradise....No, Really! Tommy, I dont know if I'll ever leave! The only thing thats not too great right now is the fishing. I've caught 2 blues in 3 days here and tossed them back. 10 inchers. I believe they have to be a foot long to keep, but, I'd have thrown them back anyhow. Yuk, I hate Blue Fish. Wheres the Pompano????
I'll try to catch up this week Tommy, All the family is still here with us so I cant cut out. Maybe my wife and daughter can drop me off and hit Key west while we hang out. Hope to get the chance my friend.

Alan ... Bring the wife and kids with you. I'll give you the grand tour. Good for a few hours anyway and we can top it off with a nice cold fruity milkshake. You can come down a couple of times if you like it around here. I have a commitment tomorrow. Monday. I can always come up and we can do lunch up there. My wife has a full schedule this week. 3 day job then a couple of smaller things. You have my number. Call me.

As more and more guys leave the C4's and the big engine projects...peteK...and the rest don't have a lot of work to do in answering questions anymore I guess. Maybe later on you could have an Old Home week at the Guru and see what everyone is doing.....

Projects? Mine involve the house too many times.

F'n garage door broke today.

The big rod that holds the coil spring and the cable reels broke.

Real pain in the ass to tear apart, fix and get the cable reals equal. Plus winding the spring without killin' yourself.

I see folks slip in and out - I know I have a couple of times. I really think C4 ownership is changing: those of us who are in for the long haul have got our cars reasonably under control and those of that got the C4 because it was good cheap speed have moved on to newer cheap speed.

Anybody hear from the Aussie at all?

Casey sold his vette, probably about two years ago. Now he is into another hobby, not related to cars.

This is from a year and a half ago

Casey used to be a mod here, I am sure you all remember him.

However, Casey lives near the ever-growing flooded region of Australia. He is in the Brisbane area. I can't say where, but it is rural.

The bottom line is thus, he does not have internet like he used to, so I can't just email or PM him. I don't have a phone number.

What I am asking is that we all keep him in our thoughts as his part of Australia gets pummled.

The floods are violent and deadly. Many folks have died already.

If I hear from him, I will update accordingly.

I just chatted with Casey.

He is OK! His house is out of town and on top of a small mountain/hill thing. In other words, he is high and dry!

Yes, the floods are bad. But where he is, all is well!!

F'n garage door broke today.

Must be from lack of use.

Tell ya how stupid the contractor was that built this house, there's a sliding glass door downstairs that opens on to the deck BUT, no door on to the driveway. The only way out is with the garage door.

Other than that......the humidity is 10 % today.

Evening....it's cooled off after getting up to about 88 today. I've opened the windows and turned the AC off. The fresh air is nice. Looks like it "could" drop a little moisture tonight.

The GS got home from day 2 of the basketball tourney. They got 3rd place in their division. 8 games in 36 hours. He was beat and is in bed by 8 pm.

The wife and I got in a second bike ride tonight. It felt good to get out twice today. The knee is getting better each day. I still have my times where the knee is stiff, but soreness is almost non-existent.

Matthew, Your kids seem to have lots of fevers! Still cutting teeth?

Just normal kid stuff, not any more or less than others. RR#2 still has a few teeth left, he's only 21 months. This latest fever was due to an unknown virus. We can tell the difference based on his skin rashes, bumps, etc.

We are home now from our weekend visit to my parents' house. About a 6 hour drive home including a few stops for the kids and to get gas. Not horrible overall. Somehow going to work tomorrow doesn't sound appealing
