Good Morning CGs!

Wow, what a busy weekend with all the kids' stuff, wedding, parties, etc. I'm almost glad to go back to work. Ok, not really. But I have to

Anyone have any good stories from the weekend?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Morning guys.... Matt, I survived the weekend. Now it's time to go back to work. I work volleyball today and tomorrow after school. This should be a test for my new knee.

Greetings! I got an extra 45 minutes of sleep this morning because some moron forgot to set their alarm. Had to put my morning routine on turbo. I hope to be able to put down the winter fertilizer on the lawn today, but they're talking 30mph wind, so that doesn't sound promising. I can always take a nap instead.

Have a good day, yawlz!

Big fun weekend here and would have been funner if the Huskers hadn't forgot how to play football...lawn is all reseeded and I am watering it twice a day now I need a little sunshine and we will hopefully get some up before the winter winds blow.

I'm up early trying to sell stuff because of a deadline on prices....I hate deadlines on prices.....

Gotta go.....have an interesting day Guru's...

Well, here it is Monday again.

Had a decent weekend, went over to PA on Saturday took my Mom, my female offspring and her brood out to supper. Went to Hoss's for steak.

Sunday, the little blind woman and I went to the orchard for some apples. Then it was home to "watch" NAPCAR.

All in all a pretty quiet and relaxing weekend. Let's see what the workweek has to offer.

Well, it's time to head off to the campus and then to the hotel...it was a lazy weekend aside from the Continental's radiator woes, but that will have to wait until next weekend...

The better half will have to use the 'vette if she needs to go anywhere this week.

Today, I plan on playing with Corvettes.

Next Saturday....I'll be running Corvettes on the racetrack.

Seems like the proper definition of DNBFS.

Grey skies and intermittent rain. Excellent weather for a back of the eye eyelid inspection for an hour or two.

Delivery went well. Left at 06:45 and was back in my house at 09:10. Not too much planned. Gonna go look for my drum.

Isn't that what Talladega is all about? Sitting and waiting for the big one? It's not if but when. Tony Stewart got a nice ride on that one.

I do like the sound, smells and sights at a NASCAR event. They do look pretty all bunched up off a straight coming into a turn. Until somebody messes up. I attended NASCAR events for over a decade at Homestead-Miami Speedway and once at Daytona. One time at Daytona was more than enough. I left with about 20 laps to go. It was a wise move on my part. I was on I-95 southbound heading to Titusville when the race ended after a long delay. Jeff Gordon won which made me that much happier I had left when I did. I didn't have to see it. I lost interest in NASCAR. Maybe after seeing so much of the same thing over and over again it was time to move on.

I hear you. I was watching it because that was the only racing that was on at the time.

I am not a Gordon fan either. To me the most anticipated 4 words in racing are not "Drivers, start your engines." they are "Gordon's in the wall." Damage the car, not the driver though.

I used to like watching NHRA, but that has gotten old. Yes the technology is awesome, but I hate watching the big boys run. Give me the old days when they had to be able to tune and drive the cars. I don't know what it is exactly, I just have a hard time getting into it.

Taking care of the monthly finances and planning our vacation for next July. 6 days 5 nights on the Carnival Breeze out of Miami. Jamaica, Grand Turk and the Bahamas are the ports of call. The ship is about a year old now. Going to join my son, wife, mother, neice, nephew in law, great neices and other family members on a little getaway. Peak season travel paying peak season prices with a number of little ones in tow is not my regular choice but, like I said. It's a family vacation. My wife and I usually like to go off season in Oct/Nov or Mar/Apr/May/Jun. We have to be close to home for hurricane and freeze seasons. We get more invites to go places than we have income to run off. Of course my wife wants to go on all of them. I'm constantly reeling her in. After that cruise our family vacation commitment should be taken care of for quite awhile. Then we can get back to doing our small group, cheap fare getaways. Luckily, I like cruising. Big ship and plenty of places to hide.

Still playin' but getting dirty...dirty,dirty,dirty.

Fiberglass, paint remover....stinky.

Pulled the radiator support (hoping that the front end didn't fall off).

The damn support is an inch too long to fit in my glass bead cabinet. I need to get it to bare metal.

Fun

The whole front end is hanging by a thread, er, ty-strap.

Well it's almost 03:00 PM and I've made a delivery, paid some bills and hunted for the best price on the cruise. My ass is falling asleep from sitting so long. Maybe I should take a nap and give my rump a rest. I could always look for something I should get done but what fun is that.

Knowledge is power.

As we progress into 2013, I want to thank you all for your educational e-mails over the past year.
I am totally screwed up now and have little chance of recovery.

I can no longer open a bathroom door without using a paper towel,
nor let the waitress put lemon slices in my ice water without worrying
about the bacteria on the lemon peel.

I can't sit down on a hotel bedspread because I can only imagine
what has happened on it since it was last washed.

I have trouble shaking hands with someone who has been driving
because the number one pastime while driving alone is picking one's nose.

Eating a little snack sends me on a guilt trip because I can only
imagine how many gallons of trans fats I have consumed over the years.

I can't touch any woman's handbag for fear she has placed it on
the floor of a public toilet.

I must send my special thanks for the email about rat poo
in the glue on envelopes because I now have to use a wet sponge with
every envelope that needs sealing.

ALSO, now I have to scrub the top of every can I open for the same reason.

I can't have a drink in a bar because I fear I'll wake up in a bathtub
full of ice with my kidneys gone.

I can't eat at KFC because their chickens are actually horrible mutant
freaks with no eyes, feet or feathers.

I can't use cancer-causing deodorants even though I smell like a
water buffalo on a hot day.

Thanks to you I have learned that my prayers only get answered
if I forward an e-mail to seven of my friends and make a wish within five minutes.

Because of your concern , I no longer drink Coca Cola because
it can remove toilet stains.

I no longer buy fuel without taking someone along to watch the car,
so a serial killer doesn't crawl in my back seat when I'm filling up.

I no longer use Cling Wrap in the microwave because it causes
seven different types of cancer.

And thanks for letting me know I can't boil a cup of water
in the microwave anymore because it will blow up in my face, disfiguring
me for life.

I no longer go to the cinema because I could be pricked with a
needle infected with AIDS when I sit down.

I no longer go to shopping centers because someone will drug
me with a perfume sample and rob me..

And I no longer answer the phone because someone will ask
me to dial a number for which I will get a huge phone bill with calls to
Jamaica , Uganda , Singapore and Uzbekistan ..

Thanks to you I can't use anyone's toilet but mine because a
big black snake could be lurking under the seat and cause me instant
death when it bites my butt.

And thanks to your great advice I can't ever pick up a
quarter coin dropped in the car park because it was probably placed
there by a sex molester waiting to grab me as I bend over.

I can't do any gardening because I'm afraid I'll get bitten by the
Violin Spider and my hand will fall off.

If you don't send this e-mail to at least 144,000 people in
the next 70 minutes, a large dove with diarrhea will land
on your head at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow afternoon, and the
fleas from 120 camels will infest your back, causing you
to grow a hairy hump. I know this will occur because it
actually happened to a friend of my next door neighbors
ex mother-in-law's second husband's cousin's best friend's
beautician!

Oh, and by the way...

A German scientist from Argentina , after a lengthy study,
has discovered that people with insufficient brain activity
read their e-mails with their hand on the mouse

Don't bother taking it off now, it's too late.

P. S. I now keep my toothbrush in the living room, because
I was told by e-mail that water splashes over 6 ft. out of the toilet..

NOW YOU HAVE YOURSELF A VERY GOOD DAY…

Cruise looks good, Tommy! We recently bought our plane tickets for our Puerto Vallarta trip in February - the prices finally fell to about what we paid last year, so we jumped on it. That can only mean one thing - ticket prices will fall further :-P

Did that but it's for longer things like the driveshaft.

The rad support is just too big unfortunately, can't move it around in the cabinet.

If I would have spent $2,000 on a cabinet instead of $300, it would have fit...maybe.

nothing interesting here this weekend except Corvette Weekend in Eureka Springs, AR - it rained, sleeted and hailed there - I was sick and stayed home, glad I missed that mess. visited my cousin in the nursing home, she had a crazy lady burst into her room and claim it as hers, interesting discussion ensued, my cousin left it with her and went to the desk to have her removed. Same crazy lady back the next night wanting her help, said there was a strange man in her room, my cousin said that's her problem and shut the door, told her to get in bed with him, maybe that would make him leave. Ain't old folks funny...

Got drunk, got laid. That's about it.

You said you wanted a story. Mine just happens to be fiction.

I realize that you can become slack jawed and mind numbed when you're only allowed to work on your car 2 hours per month.

Wasn't my ex was it....
we were getting back together last summer when he all of a sudden decided he'd rather have his 'new employee' he'd just hired. They quickly married and resigned. Seemed fishy. Then I saw where he was arrested on felony charges for stuff he'd done while he was was chief at Bull Shoals, AR. I'm wondering if she was either in on it or part of him getting busted...
was all over the news around here
