Howdy! A frigid dusting of snow overnight, after I shoveled yesterday's dusting of snow. It's supposed to get up in the 30's next week, gonna feel balmy. Meanwhile, checking the level of windshield washer fluid moves up on the priority list.

Have a good day, everyone!

Good mawning.

Well, the $400 theft will promote a $1200 security upgrade at the nursery. Getting 4 additional cameras and adding some motion sensor lighting. This guy knew we had cameras and pulled his jacket up over his head to avoid recognition. We're going to hide one or two cameras low and facing up to try to thwart this practice in the future. I'm going to modify a fake rock to accept the camera. We're actually getting some exceptional police support on this theft. I think they really want to get this guy. No doubt he has a history. Nothing would make me happier than to put his ass in jail. We are known to go to extrordinary means to catch a violator. Even offering rewards leading to the capture. I told my wife she should catch a stray dog and give it a home at the nursery. Don't think she'll do it but it would be nice. I was thinking of placing some rebar spikes on our side of the fence. I could call them plant supports. Sort of a welcome for any fence jumpers. Is it worth taking a life to prevent a theft? You bet your ass it is. I hate f@(%ing thieves.
All this crap messed with our good nights sleep. My wife worries about the equptment we have stored in the tool shed. I told her we can always take the high value tools home and store them in the garage. Mainly chain saws, pole saws, blowers, etc. These are hot items for thieves in Fl. They're known to cut through the roofs of trailers to access the tools. When it comes to being violated, I'd be willing to comp a detainee to do some justice on the inside to the guy if he is caught. When it comes to turning the other cheek, I think the crook should turn the other cheek, with a little help.

What's a matter with that? They should do that here. No worries about that though. (Speaking of crooks) Congress and The Senate will only vote on legislation affecting their pay raises.

Good Morning CGs!

Got up this morning while the wife and kids were still sleeping and ran a few miles. Man it was freezing. I dress well, but the air is still cold while breathing it in. Still glad I got out there and did it.

TB -- I slept last night wearing nitrite gloves with aquaphor all over. Woke up and my hands were noticeably softer and more moisturized. Some of the real bad spots were still there but smaller. The drawback is 1) uncomfortable/awkward feeling 2) some of the aquaphor squeezes out and stains the sheets (wife wouldn't be happy I'm sure) 3) difficult to do things if you wake up (ie change the baby's diaper for me). I think I'd rather do it for an hour or two while sitting on the couch watching tv.

Today the kids are going for their first dentist appointments ever. We'll see if our dentist invites us back for our own cleanings....Haha.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

I found some stuff that I had used many years ago, "Badger Healing Balm", and put that on along with a nitrile glove. It appears to be better this morning, so I reapplied it and another glove. Workout in and now working on a computer or two.

Our alarm guy talked us into another approach. Door sensors, motion detectors and an infrared beam that when broken triggers the alarm. The breach will be set off a siren with strobelights and a call made to a phone number or numbers we choose. That way we can run on over there and take care of binness. If we act quickly, the most they should get away with will be worth only about fiddy cent. Guess I'll have to find another use for the fake rock enclosures. Other security ideas I had were, a breach would release an armed monkey, or to go with the strobes, loaded fireworks tubes that would engage when triggered.

Yea, that's better.

I don't worry about forgetting my PIN's anymore.

I had them tattooed on my scrotum.

Now I can't forget them.

Wish I could forget that nite in the tattoo shop though.
