Good morning gang.

I mowed my lawn last night and that was the extent of my work. It felt good to not have to do alot.

Should be another nice day here in N.E Indiana with sunny skies and temps in the mid 70's again.

Yesterday we had a huge gas price hike. It went up about $0.40 overnight. It's surprising to see deisel fuel cheaper than gas.

Word of the Day Thursday, June 06, 2013

trachle\ TRAH-khuh \, noun;

1. an exhausting effort, especially walking or working.

2. an exhausted or bedraggled person.

verb:

1. to fatigue; tire; wear out.

2. to bedraggle.

Origin:

While the origin of trachle is unknown, it might be related to the West Flemish tragelen meaning "to walk heavily."

Lets all try to have a nice day.

How the hell are ya?
I'm going to try and trachle a few chores today. Got a few things done yesterday. A little edging, mulching and washed 4 cars. I'm trying to coax my body back into a productive mode. When I go outside I'm greeted with a wall of humid, warm air. To work outdoors you have to first break a sweat. Then you can start being more productive. It's only gonna get worse. (My annual summer gripe about the hot, humid, summer weather in Florida) The way I survive it is to look around the nation and see places with triple digit temps. Then I say .... Well I'm glad it's not that hot here. I bump into some people that actually love the summer heat. My utopia is to wake up in the 60's and a high of 77. That's why I love the three other seasons here but I tolerate the summer. No place is perfect.

We got a letter yesterday from the states attorney's office not to report for our depositions today. The letter indicated that the case was closed. The guy must have taken the plea deal. It stated the case was closed .... not dismissed. There's a big difference. Guess I'll have to follow up on it to see what he got.

Good Morning CGs!

Like Mike, I got the grass cut yesterday. I didn't get as much work done as I wanted to, though. Opened up my can of exterior white paint and it was solid. So that messed up my plans for painting. Got a different can from my neighbor so I can take care of a couple little projects. We did take the kids for a nice bike ride and went to the mall for a bit, so that was good. I also tinkered on the wife's car for a few minutes to fix a couple things.

Today is a day for a good chest workout. After that we are taking the kids to a movie.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

How can you tell you've waited (procrastinated) too long to start on a painting project? The paint has dried before you even applied it.

Marcus ..... The new washer and drier are right in style. I think they call it Retro ....... Oohhhhh!

I never did like the frontloaders or the bulkiness of the newer style combo's. Last time we only needed to buy a washer. The drier to date has served us well.

Yep. He took the plea. He took a year on both counts we had against him to be served consecutively. He's still facing a grand theft auto charge in another case. He's going back to school for awhile. Had two alarms to respond to since he's been gone. A pair of dogs got in a couple of weeks ago and a false alarm the other day. We've been sleeping a lot better.

Hidey-ho! I may get to mow my lawn sometime next week. The forecast for the weekend had looked promising the other day, now they're saying more of the same crap we've had all week. Delightful. On the bright side, the days will start getting shorter in a couple weeks.

Have a good day, Gurus!

Got a call from my trans guy today. He said he opened up the case last night and the low/reverse clutches were completely gone, metal to metal. He said he didn't know how the trans was still working. He also said the rear planetary was bad, but just due to age/wear and nothing broken. He ordered a new rear planetary and should have it back together in the next two days. He also said the boost valve in there now sucked because it was too small, but the rebuild kit includes a good bigger one. He was impressed with Dana's rebuild kit. I don't know what all that means, but it sure sounds like he knows what he's talking about...

The temp in Reno @ 2:45 - 95 with 9% humidity

Drivin' up the hill with the windows open, you can feel the temp drop at the 3 mile mark, about 6 degrees.

Temp in the house is 79, feels nice, no a/c req'd for another hour.

Hey guys...been another busy day. Finished up the one job....well for a while, there is another cabinet that needs done, but It needs to wait until some other work is done first. I got the cabinets hung for the guy with the rental. My GS and I got them hung in 4 hours. A couple things to finish up there tomorrow and then on to a couple other things. Trying to get all this bullsh!t (in reference to Tommy's post above) taken care off in the next week.

My daughter called a little while ago (the one I changed the kitchen counter tops for Memorial weekend). She wants to do her bathroom the first week of July. I guess I have to plan for that. It's going to a complete gutting and start over.......I can only imagine what we'll find when we do that......EEEEEKKKKK!

Still 95 in Reno but thunderstorm clouds rolled over the mountain causing no rain but very cool breezes thru the house. Temp in the house jumped to 80.

AND the humidity jumped to 11%.....

I do like the front load washers and dryers. I'd like a new dryer to match the washer. Have a nice black front load washer - love that thing. The dryer is old and white but works great so it's still here. Got it used for $100 when my old one konked out.

Looking for a nice weekend here so hopefully I can get the cousin's things moved that's in the nursing home. Need to move her things from her apartment into storage since she's not returning there anytime soon. Loads of fun that should be. Sitting out on my back deck right now with my new little lanters going, all my flowers are blooming, some actual weeds I planted died, go figure. It's beautiful out here except for this huge outdoor wood roach thing about 2 inches long that ran across my laptop screen a minute ago and the coon from the woods out back that comes through here every day and night who bout ran me over just a bit ago. I scared him bout bad as he scared me looked like. All the froggies are croaking, the crickets are criking, the breeze is calm, the temp is good, the beer is cold, somebody has a fire lit outside, that smells nice actually - nice evening

Heat are on ABC and it's close at halftime with the Heat in the lead. They usually pick up the pace in the second half, partiularly in the third quarter. Let's see what happens.
