Good Morning CGs!

So today is supposed to be sunny and 75*. I can't believe it. Amazing. Of course it's supposed to drop into the high 20s on Monday-Tuesday for the low and possibly snow. Seriously? So I guess today is carpe diem.

Remember the car collector I met with the fancy low mileage cars? Turns out he lied to me. I talked to a car buddy of mine who knows him. Turns out he doesn't have a couple cars at home. He has a Lambo Murciellago, Ferrari F430, Mustang GT500 (new), 2011 ZR1, Viper, another Dodge SRT (can't remember), and a few more. Then my buddy goes "that's on top of his warehouse with 60 more cars". WTF? I need to become a part of this guy's family. Next time I run in to him I will ask him about the others. Very cool stuff.

Had a bad experience at the new Nissan dealer yesterday. Dropped the car off at 9 am to get a new key/remote programmed. Actually the sales manager personally brought it back there and asked them to get it done. Was told it would be done by 1 pm. Stopped up at 4 pm....and they hadn't even started it yet! Service guy was a douche and told me to come back in 45 minutes. I stayed and talked to the sales guys (who are all great and bent over backwards trying to help me). Over and hour later still wasn't done. They said the tech was having problems programming the remote and couldn't figure out why. Service guy called the sales manager (different one) and asked if I could get a ride home and come back tomorrow??? He said no, and after 2 hours of waiting they gave me a rental car. Ridiculous. I will never go there for service ever again. Service manager wasn't there yesterday or he would have gotten an earful from me. Terrible customer service.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Matt, sorry to hear of your Nissan experience. (or inexperience as the case may be) I'm going to do something today ............ That's as far as I've got so far. We'll see how it all shakes out after my morning shower. (pun intended). Second cup o'joe working it's way through the process. Stayed up too late and didn't get enough sleep. Here's a Class A motorhome I like. Just cause I like it doesn't mean I can afford it. But if I had the jack, this would be parked in my yard out back. Big enough to load up all the critters and go on a road trip. The exterior colors aren't my favorite but I could live with it.

40 is too long,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,when you put the enclosed stacker car trailer on it, you'll need a CDL to drive it.

Class A motorhomes. I don't need one but they keep on luring me in. I could load up on some John Denver cd's and cruise the country for at least a couple of months seeing this vast and beautiful country we live in.

The race shop's motorhome I drove had 4 slides, had the Cat diesel kicked up from 350 horse to 400. Got 5 mpg and cost $250k.

With the trailer, it was 63 1/2 feet long.

Comfy though.

Howdy! Gotta go run my MIL to the airport - she is going to Florida to visit some relatives for a week. Good timing on her part, since we have highs in the 30's on Monday and they mention the "s" word several days next week. Ick. A few chores on the agenda today before we go to a friend's place for a Masters party.

Have a good day, yawlz!

Well as Brad says, today I have made my 64 circle around the sun on the road to eternity....I had profound things to say and share but the phone rang and I gotta go to work....I did get my new steering wheel put on the GS and it is very cool....I like it so much better...

Gotta go the workers are standing around and not working so I got to tell them what to do....more later Guru's...have a safe day out there....

Matt, you'll have to bring your Nissan here for service. The dealer I got my Maxima from has massages, shoe shines, and a nice lounge with fresh cookies and coffee. So you can be comfortable while you're getting fleeced.

Happy Saturday! Seriously... slept nearly 8 hours if you add it all up, I have two itty bitty investments that have increased a little, my light bill was $70 less, no other bills in the mailbox, it's supposed to be 77 and sunny here today, my yard work got done last weekend, not much to do in the house, my capri pants from last year still fit, looking like a good day so far. Have some flower bulbs to plant and could run the mower ... or not.
Sorry Matt for your bad one at the Nissan place.. Happy birthday, Marcus !

Morning guys...64? OMGoodness! Probably ready to trade that ole silver thing in on a nice Dodge Caravan. Sitting iin my office at school waiting for an email so I can do some printing for our Basketball coach. They are sponsoring some sort of 3 on 3 tourney today and I said I'd print the brackets. Got a phone call saying they decided to just make them out by hand. OK that saves me from printing them.

I started doing home office stuff and trying to get reorganized. Dumped a bunch of stuff in the trash, recycling and the shredder, then deleted a couple of hundred emails with another 800+ to go. 1 step forward and two steps back. The person that takes over for me when I'm gone can go through all this $#!+ but a clean and organized office is a happy office.

Yeh, I had to go to the nursery and load up some plants for wifey to take to the show tomorrow. I found a broken sprinkler while I was there, fed the cats, and a few other little things that all add up to a couple of hours +. It's a nice peaceful day here. Can't complain too much.

Happy Bday Marcus!

So I talked to the service writer at Nissan today. He said they found that the PO had installed an aftermarket alarm. It was disconnected, but they think it is interfering with the antitheft module. The techs had to call Nissan corporate for assistance diagnosing it. Car should (might) be ready Monday.

HAPPY BD MARCUS!

GREAT TRIP TO ARKIE LAND, NO TRAFFIC TO SLOW ME DOWN THRU THE HILLS, SUNSHINE AND ONLY ONE PIT STOP, BY POPULAR DEMAND.

KIDS DID WELL, ETHAN'S TEAM IS PRETTY BLAH, EXCEPT FOR HIM & TWO OTHERS. HE IS A GOOD GOALIE, EVEN THOUGH HE DOES NOT LIKE IT, HE'S AN OFFENSIVE MINDED KID.

GRACIE IS IN THE FIRST GRADE. SHE DIDN'T START AND THE OTHERS WERE REALLY STUMBLING AROUND. I TOLD HER I EXPECTED HER TO DO BETTER THAN THAT. MY MODEST LITTLE GRANDDAUGHTER SAYS "I WILL. I'M BETTER THAN THOSE PEOPLE." AND DAMNED IF SHE'S NOT.

As a driver you obviously can't be afraid of failing. This is another one of those things that nobody I knew tried as a kid. Deep pockets look like a plus in this (sport?)
