Quick shower, load the Yukon and we're off. Should be landing in Anchorage in about 17 hours. Ya, getting ready was a lot of work. Coming home will be no picnic so I guess I'll just have to enjoy my time away ........... if Sue will let me. Later, gurus. I'll take lots of pictures.

Up early and headed out. We want to be done and in the shed by 3 pm before the storms of the centry are supposed to hit us tonight. I hear its like a love fest for storm chasers in our area right now with more arriving all the time. That is never a good thing. Some storm mojo our way would't hurt either.

Morning guys...Safe travels Tommy. Marcus, I saw on the weather last night that you guys were in a high watch area. We are just in a "moderate" watch area. Not sure why they put us in any type of area, all the storms go around where we are.

Marcus - watch out for those storm chasers that come and offer to get your roof fixed for free after your shingles are ripped off. They are scumbags and shysters. I hear horror stories about them from my neighbor who is a legitimate roofer.

Wife is getting ready for her surgery coming up today. I have to take her to the hospital soon. Hopefully it's the quickest, easiest procedure of the day.

BIL's F150 is having noise problems from the front end...determined it to be the 4wd partially engaging by itself. Throw it in 4x4 and it goes away, then switch back to 2wd and it's fine. Found a TSB on it for a bad solenoid, that's the first thing I have to change. Then I have to purge the lines of any moisture. If that doesn't solve it, I may have to change the 4wd engagement rings (they call them IWEs, integrated wheel end) or possibly just some vacuum lines. Such is the life of a 140,000 mile work truck.

I also have to change the crank sensor on FIL's 2006 Altima.

Don't get me started on the house projects.

Guess I better get going.

steamy and 90 here as well - still chances of rain every day for another week or so -
locked horns with the ad lady at the paper this morning over the book I'm working on for them. this thing is gonna kill me - they're over a week and half late on their deadlines which really takes away from my part in getting it done. My time is a lot more limited now than it used to be. I've tried to explain that and that meeting deadlines is crucial. Editorial staff and his new photographer haven't made things any easier, either. What I wouldn't give to be rich and not have to do this mess.
Busy at the day job also, that's a plus makes the day go faster.

Ya...GRIS....we gots da hidey hole.... May need it, its around 90 degrees and the humidity is......probably like Florida in the Summer.....strong wind out of the south....we have the hatches battened down and are in yellow alert mode at this time....

100 here now heat wave coming this weekend. 103-106.
Off disability now back to work for two days and now it is vacation time. Son broke motor mount on block side pulled that out last night and at the same time problem searched the vet. Bad plug wires. Might be bad HEI wire to Dizzy cap. Going through withdrawal from anti depressants doing better.
