Good morning gang.

I see I'm late today. Yes it is Monday again. Lets start another week.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Mine wasn't to bad major project that was not planned was water heater replacement.

Other than that we had a good weekend. Sat night we went for a ride in the vette. Something we haven't done in ages and we had a good time put about 130 mi on it. Got stopped for a warning for doing 64 in a 50. Got lucky there.

Lets get today started.

Word of the Day Monday, July 21, 2014

facsimile\ fak-SIM-uh-lee \, noun;

1. an exact copy, as of a book, painting, or manuscript.
2. Also called fax. Telecommunications. a. a method or device for transmitting documents, drawings, photographs, or the like, by means of radio or telephone for exact reproduction elsewhere. b. an image transmitted by such a method.
3. dropout.

verb:

1. to reproduce in facsimile; make a facsimile of.

adjective:

1. Also, fax. Telecommunications. a. (of an image) copied by means of facsimile: facsimile mail.
b. (of a method or device) used to produce a facsimile: facsimile transmission.

Origin:

Facsimile comes from the earlier phrase fac simile which literally meant "make the like." It is related to the word simile and entered English in the 1650s.

And for those in trouble with the other half today is
NATIONAL GET OUT OF THE DOG HOUSE DAY.

Good Morning CGs!

Well, 68 hours of work isn't even healthy. Maybe when you're 18 but it gets old, quick.

Mike - glad you got a warning for your lead foot

Supposed to be warm here today around 86. Tomorrow 91. We need it because my pool was freezing yesterday when the kids wanted to go in. 72* which is pretty frigid...we didn't stay in too long.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning, all!

Looks like another surprisingly nice day in the Philadelphia area, though it promises to get significantly hotter as the week wears on.

Took the convertible out last night in near perfect weather. Yes, the CD changer still works ...

Howdy! Gonna be hot and sticky again, heat index will be around 108 or so. They're talking severe thunderstorms with large hail tonight - I may put the Vette outside with some blankets and its cover on, as I think it would fare better than the new truck. Some of us don't have 4 garage stalls with lifts :-P

Meanwhile:

Due to be beautifully warm and sunny here today, not a cloud in the sky. Would been nice to have that yesterday. I did get in the pool here to clean, but wasn't pleasant to just float around in. Bank stuff today for the one in the nursing home to prepare for the stuff we're about to do to save part of her money through the lawyer. "half loaf" program they call it. If any of you are nearing that age or have family that is, need to do this NOW. Get crap out of your name. I've learned so much in the last couple of years about elder care in dealing with her it's unreal and there's so much more. then after that, on to the shop to work. Have a good Monday everyone...
Agreed, 68 hours is way too many

Letty, the 3M urethane repair epoxy has a few drawbacks.
It's part of their "automix" professional stuff. Requires a special caulk gun but can be dispensed other ways. Good product though.

There are others.

If you are going to repair the air dam, Google urethane repair, there's videos online.

I'd certainly repair it before spending $500.

Morning guys....Can't call it beautifully warm, going to be 103 today, let's call it seasonably hot. We were lucky to have the cool temps last week, now we make up for those. Have to get my mind around what I'm needing/going to do today. Tomorrow I have an appointment with the Dermatologist about my psoriasis and have them look at some spots here and there on my body.

I hate starting off the day being tired. I slept 7 hours so that's not the issue.

He has the guns and stuff at the shop I can use... problem with the repair is that I have to find some way to reinforce it since it's split clean in two. Yes I'd rather repair than buy a new one. Being a Tigershark chin spoiler, and you can't get the true urethane tigershark bumper anymore, the prices of the chin spoilers have gone sky high. And, he saw it yesterday at work and him being in an already pissed off mood at other stuff , and my back end being boogered up too - he got mad all over again and hollered at me

said when he gets his '03 done at the end of this week, he's just gonna get mine up there and fix everything and be done with it, whatever it cost me it is what it is... before I was gonna be banished to the back shop with it, buy my supplies and paint and do myself. Now he's all mad that I tore it up... Don't count I guess how much sanding and crap I've done to HIS car....
