Good morning gang.

Welcome to December. 11 months down and 1 to go. I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. Now on to Christmas.

Should be cool today with our high at midnight last night it was 44*. The daytime high should be in the 30's. Yesterday we hit 61. I don't foresee any more of those days until spring.

Let's get going.

Word of the Day Monday, December 01, 2014.

nosophobia \ nos-uh-FOH-bee-uh \, noun;

1. Psychiatry. an abnormal fear of disease.

Origin:

Nosophobia comes from the Greek roots phóbos meaning "fear, panic" and nósos meaning "disease, sickness, malady."

Today is A RED APPLE DAY

National Eat a Red Apple Day is observed annually on December 1.

As the old adage goes, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”, and today is a perfect time to put that theory to taste.

An apple is both delicious and nutritious. With over 7,500 varieties of apples and over 7.5% of the worlds production coming from the USA, apples are widely available.

NATIONAL PIE DAY

Each year on December 1, dessert lovers across the United States celebrate National Pie Day.

This is the 2nd time in a year this national treasure has a day. The first and more popular designation falls on January 13.

CYBER MONDAY

Cyber Monday is observed annually on the Monday after Thanksgiving.

Cyber Monday was developed as a way for internet based companies to have a way to compete with Black Friday, which is typically held by brick and mortar retail stores the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Good Morning CGs!

I worked all day yesterday 12 hours so not much got accomplished around the house. Wifey was at Target and they had LED lights on sale along with extra rebates and whatnot, so she got 4 boxes and her dad got 5 or 6 for his house. Those will be for next year.

Found a set of rims and tires on CL and by the time I emailed the guy (several hours after posting) they were gone. I guess urgency is upon us now that it is December. I am in no real rush, just always looking for that deal. Oh well.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Güter mügia!

The wind chill is -20, so long sleeves and/or a light sweater are recommended. On the bright side, there's not much competition for a tee-time.

Have a good day, Gurus!

I don't have any chestnuts roasting on an open fire but I did fill the Jacuzz, added chlorine, and got her up to temp. Lights are up outside the house. The tree and inside decorations are to be done today. My thoughts are that X-mas decorations should not take more tan 1 day to put up and a half day to take down. Whatever I think around here doesn't hold a lot of value. Wifey picked up a box of well packed X-mas stuff at a yard sale the other day for $5.00. I'm like ....

Cloudy here... high about 70, but we are expecting heavy rains the next day or 2.

Had a very nice holiday... except the Mrs was sick for a chunk of it... she is better now... some kind of allergy/upper respiratory thing... she is feeling better, still a touch feverish, and has no voice! But isn't sleeping the entire day. Should be back 100% in a day or so. The rain should help, because it has been sooo very dry of late.

Got my yard cleaned up and did some weeding and mowing and such, also got the garage closer to organized - finally... and the C3 I am recommissioning is now safe in the garage.

Next up, clutch replacement.

I USED TO GET SOMETHING THEY CALLED A Z-PAC FOR SINUS, ANTIBIOTIC I THINK, WORKED REAL WELL.

GOT MY DRIVERS LICENSE REUPPED TODAY, IT WAS FREE TO OLD FARTS. DON'T KNOW WHAT THE AGE REQUIREMENT IS; DIDN'T ASK. JUST GOT OUT OF THERE BEFORE THEY CHANGED THEIR MIND.

Got home tonight and found out I have to fix the exhaust on the truck. It's a little loud now. The down pipe broke a little bit past the turbo.

IT'S NOT HARD TO GET CHALLENGED OFF I BET.
WHENEVER I WOULD GET ORDERS TO SIT AS A MEMBER OF A COURT MARTIAL I WOULD SHOW UP WITH A BURR HAIRCUT, WEARING EVERY RIBBON AND BADGE I HELD, AND CHEWING ON A STUBBY CIGAR. THE DEFENSE COUNSEL WOULD ALMOST ALWAYS CHALLENGE ME OFF THE BOARD.

Evening guys....I thought I posted earlier today, but it appears to have been lost out in cyber-space. I guess what I said wasn't important, because I can't remember what I'd said.

It was a busy day, kids are beginning to get a little worried about their grades, might be a bit late for some of them, as we only have 12 full school days left before the end of the semester.

Starting on some new projects that need to get done. It's always something.

Colder than crap today, supposed to make a comeback tomorrow, then back down, then a comeback to end the week.

I must have picked up Marcus' sinus junk as my head has been full, and draining making me cough. tastes like crap too.

I finally had to surrender and put the 'Vette in the garage for the winter. Washed and dried it, why didn't I do that yesterday when it was pushing 70 instead of today when it was struggling to hit 40? Topped the tank off and added Stabil. Tucked her in for a long winter's nap. Next run SEBRING !
