Good Morning CGs!

I saw several Vettes out yesterday Marcus in the 11* air. It was also snowing which made it hard for me to understand. I don't care about driving a car in the rain/snow, but with summer tires it makes it unsafe. Oh well, not my car.

Hope you all had a nice Valentine's Day and didn't forget the flowers. Got my wife a nice little vase and bouquet that she liked. Safe for another year.

Not much planned for the day other than a workout.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

GM CG's

Sue is out at the Coconut Grove Arts Festival where she has a booth. She is one of a small number of plant vendors. It's a good show to be at. Always make connections with old clients and make a few new ones plus sell some plants at retail. It's in the 50's right now on a sunny, clear blue sky, breezy day . I just opened the windows to let in the fresh air. Brought in a helper today to weed the back nursery at the house so I can spend my time doing other stuff ...... like this. Have a fruitful day, gang.

Morning,

Good to be alive and I feel great. 23º this morning and it is suppose to be in the 30s today. My dog, Oscar, is talking to me in the background as I write this. He is feeling neglected lately with all of the traveling to the doctors.

A side benefit is that I seem to have a better attitude and am looking forward to summer so I can play with the cars and maybe do some wrenching on my old pickup. I'm sure it need some new injectors. I was going to do it last summer but never could seem to find the energy to start on it. I put them in my last 90 Vette without too much trouble and I'm don't think my 89 Ford pickup will be any harder.

Have a great day and try to stay out of trouble.

Very good, Don. You tend to feel a little better when you're blood is flowing good. Do what we can while we can. Each day wasted is one we'll never get back. Well, ya never get back the ones ya don't waste either. I wasted plenty of them. Time is just flying. The years pass quickly. 6 weeks till cruise time. Whoo-hoo!

Cold here in N Georgia today. Low tonight in the teens and 1-3" of snow forecast for in the morning. A lot of the schools are shut down for Presidents Day and the others are already closing for tomorrow. Even a forecast of snow is enough to thoroughly screw up Atlanta traffic. Glad we don't have to worry about going anywhere.

So, when they said you were going to be awake thru the procedure, were you?

For me, "awake" was a funny way of putting it.

Another beautiful day.

Just finished up using NAPA Aluminum Brightner on the Featherlite.

Good stuff.

Except when the breeze blows some of that phosphoric acid in your face.

Ya the brightner is good stuff. I'm sure the phosphoric acid can't do much more damage than is already done.

Well, a lazy day in sw kansas. Went over to the 'city', walked through Menards and did the grocery shopping for the week. Lent starts Wednesday, had to get some fish to wat on Fridays.

Interesting choice on the song Tommy, watching Americana on Velocity channel and they just finished up a story on him and restoring his old race car they found and restored, a 64 Plymouth.

Yes, I was. They gave me a valium before the procedure and a local at the entry site in the wrist. I wasn't even sleepy at any time. Then the nurses showed me before and after pictures when it was done. The doctor talked throughout the procedure.

Hope your brother gets better Tee.

Thanks Don.

Been working on the vacation plans.

The plan is leaving the KC area July 5, a stop in Effingham is a must. Going on up through Indianapolis and north toward Grand Rapids, MI. A visit with friends there, and then heading on over toward Niagara Falls. So will be crossing into Canada.

Looking for things along the way. Anyone have advice on things to see and do along the way? Are there any worthy car museums?

They shot me up with something, I stayed awake but decided to count the ceiling tile. Got to 1 and had to start over cause I lost count.

Pretty good but of course I deviate from the instructions.

They say leave it on 30 seconds but that can streak.

When you spray it on, it foams. Make sure there's full coverage, any alum spots you can see will be streaked.
Wait 30 or so and spread it with a brush (long handled car wash brush), wait another 30-45 and hose it off.

It didn't harm the white paint/powdercoat sides.

BUT it's not for polished alum, it will dull the polished stuff.

On the bare alum,, it worked really well.

Glad you are feeling better, Don....

I'm gonna say it - I know it's normal for you all but I ain't built for this.. hell froze over here and it's cold as shit... Was 65 and sunny yesterday, 11 tonight, sleet and snow due in through the night. It will be -2 Wednesday night. WTF?
And, I thought women my age were supposed to have HOT flashes? It's currenlty 75 in my house and I just made myself biscuits for supper so as to have an excuse to heat up the house with the oven. Nutz.....
Been on the computer part of the early morning and all afternoon working on a side job for the paper here. Had to do it twice cause my idiot butt messed it all up the first time around. Figures. Hope you all managed to gather your cards, candy and flowers and stay out of hot water and have a good Valentine's day...
