Good Morning CGs!

The giant snow storm they predicted didn't really materialize. I think Indiana east of me got it bad, but we didn't. I gassed up the snowblower in the morning to be ready, didn't even need to take it out. No complaints here.

Feeling sluggish this morning and lacking motivation for the day. Hope that gets better. Don't want to feel like Tommy all day. Maybe my wife can call and convince me to get to work

TB - hope you're feeling better after your fall yesterday.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Morning guys...yea, my back and neck are much better this morning. I'll keep the appointment for tomorrow though.

More work in the shop, got to find a piece of particleboard to replace the one as the outfeed table for my saw. Among other things today.

A cool start to the day, but it's supposed to start a warming trend, 70 by Saturday.

Hang in there gurus.

Good mawnin

The morning after. There's got to be one, hopefully. Last night Sue and I attended Experience Hendrix, a tribute to the guitar master Jimi. It was anchored by veteran bassist Billy Cox who performed with both Jimi Hendrix Experience and Band of Gypsys. The concert, a guitar shredding masterpiece, did not disappoint. Drummer, Chris Layton backed up number after number as Dweezil Zappa, Eric Johnson, Mato Nanji, Keb Mo and others enetered and left the stage in rotation. Standouts for me were exceptional performances by Zakk Wylde, Kenny Wayne Sheperd and Jonny Lang though there were too many great moments to mention. Vocal performances by Henri Brown and Noah Hunt contributed to the shifting parade of axe men. Noah had Jimi's vocals down better than Jimi did.lol. Buddy Guy with his drummer Tim Austin behind him performed the closing numbers. Tim's a big boy that can really pop the skins. This show at The Seminole Hard Rock theater did not disappoint. When I saw the line up I knew I had to go. Sure glad we did. They just kicked off the Spring 2016 tour so if you can catch them I highly recommend it. Money well spent.

Here's the schedule for those that might be inclined to go.

I see that they will be playing in Chicago but I'm sure Matt is waiting for launch of Justin Bieber's next world tour.

SUNNY,WINDY, AND COLD IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING.

GOT TO START GETTING MY STUFF TOGETHER FOR THE "INCREDIBLE SHRINKING GUNSHOW" THIS WEEKEND. THAT WON'T BE HARD BECAUSE I'VE GOT NOTHING TO PUT ON THE TABLE :-) MAYBE THE OIL BUST WILL SEND IN SOMEBODY WITH SOMETHING INTERESTING TO SELL.

As the late economist Milton Friedman noted, freedom and prosperity are not natural conditions for human society. In most places and in most times of history, humanity has lacked freedom and lived in squalor.

Sounds like a great show, Tommy.

Hope you feel better soon, Tom.

Have a good day, all!

Back in from the shop. Found a new piece of particleboard, I doubt it will hold me up either. Spraying finish again, this time on a bench for a local recreation center.

Got word last night that a member of our mens group from up north passed away. Not real familiar with all the members from up there, I asked which one he was, as I was thinking it to be, an older member, by the same name, Dad or an uncle. No it was the 31 year old that I did know....crap! Puts things in perspective. There's no guarantee you have tomorrow, no matter what your age is. So have a funeral to attend Saturday morning.

Sorry to hear, Tom - very true. My MIL's neighbor's son-in-law, 42 years old, went to a job interview a couple days ago in the morning - he got the job, and decided to stop at a restaurant for lunch to celebrate. He choked on a piece of steak - nobody noticed until he was turning blue, since he made no sounds and didn't do anything that would attract attention. They got him to the hospital, but he didn't make it. You just never know.

And that truck jeep hummer looking thing! What IS that?
I think I need a tank with huge spikes and lights and sirens on it, with wrecker capabilities. then I could tow myself home. Kinda like Mater....
Sadly, the closest Hendrix experience for me is Nashville and it's apparently tonight. Wonder why not Memphis?

31 years young...very sad and too early.

Marcus - that is absolutely Joe's old C4. That was a beautiful car with very nice mods. I haven't talked to him much since he got the new one.

Surprising. It's been a really good car up until now. All it ever needed was oil changes and tire pressure adjustments. You'll figure it out Bill. If you don't I'm sure you know someone that will.

Yea, a new one daily.

Change to a brand new Opti, drive 4 miles, get a low resolution, distributor, code 16 but no SES light like it's supposed to.

Next day, get an SES light, code 34, MAP sensor, put in a new one.

Then clear the code 16, drive 20 likes, no code, drive another, no code, another 29 , no code , lift the hood, smell antifreeze (on the side frame rail but can't see where it's coming from. Hose it down and let it dry overnite.

Next day, run it up to 200 water, radiator's blown.

An the code 16 comes back AND now it won't clear using the dash buttons like it should.
