Howdy! Sounds like you had quite a mess there, Tom! Hope they get everything squared away pronto. Meanwhile, things are slowly improving here, and looking up for golf tonight. I saw an actual ray of sun on my way in this morning. I did see a picture of a guy mowing the snow off of his lawn last night on the news, though (from a bit north of us). Fortunately none of it stuck here.

Have a good day, Gurus!

Up and around. Sunny, but pretty chilly, 35, but the thaw continued all night.

Not sure what is on the agenda for today. I have cabinet parts that need prepping and finishing, but they are in my storage shed and I'm not sure whether I can get to it yet. I'll go check on it after while.

I hope you all have a great day.

SUNNY AND COOL IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING, THE CHEROKEES ARE SMILING.

TEE, I'M GLAD YOU CAME OUT EASY FROM THE BLIZZARD. MY CONCERN WAS THAT WITH THE POWER OUT YOU'D HAVE SOME FROZEN PIPES AND HAVE TO CONFRONT THE DREADED "P" WORD.

Morning gang. Cold and rainy here in N.E. Indiana. Looks like it's going to be cool and rainy for the rest of the week. I want to do some work on the golf cart but I'm not going to work in the garage when it's cold out and no heat.

Hope your home project goes well Uman.

Have a good day gang.

It's really beautiful here again today. always when I'm inside the office working. Was due to storm Saturday but turned out nice but then that night - holy geezzzzzzz - Flooding everywhere, a town half hour from us is being evacuated as the river will pass the previous record and everyone in the area is guaranteed to lose everything - happening all around. Our yard was full of water but didn't get in the house but the shop and pool house both flooded. Spend Sunday cleaning up the mess. Missouri really got hammered. Saw some pics from those areas that were awful. I feel so sorry for people that go through that. Breaks my heart for them. Leaves me scratching my head wondering why God does this to people? I just simply do not understand. More rain due tomorrow and Thursday, like we need any more.
The shot the ortho doc gave me in the hiney helped with that tendon that he said I had issue with, I go the 15th for a hip injection to alleviate the rest of it. Can't wait. Tired of it. The sciatic is still bugging the shit out of me but the sacroiliac part is better. Regular neurology visit yesterday - 3 month check up on the tremors, he asked why the limp. I filled him in, he pushed on the sacroiliac area and I hollered. He said for me to get to a chiropractor too. I've been doing stretches but the chiro lady didn't have an appointment time that fit my schedule this week. I've got a message in to her. Neurologist agreed that the hip pain would keep me up at night - ended up with scrips for my tremor meds, plus xanax and trazodone. Guess he wants me sleepin lol. Thanks all y'all for the mojo the other day - Steve and the rest who know how this feels. Has me in a really pissy mood a lot. yeah, I know - what's new lol

It's 55º here today and raining a bit. I had the Red Devil out in the rain (with the top down for a bit) and it didn't melt. Of course I had to go home and wipe it all down.

There was a little excitement over the weekend. A local boy whose parents and other family I taught, signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Bengals. He was a RT with NDSU the past 4 years. He is 6'7" and 310 pounds. He is a good boy and I hope he does well.

I have returned and notice there has been no shortage of topics around here. Weather, mechanical issues, body part issues, political/religious issues and so on. Mojo to all in need.
I worked on the skid steer today on an issue the mechanic said was not responsible for the trouble. I just thought it was worth a shot. The oil level was a little too high. Small diesel engine had excess oil pressure so I drained the oil down to the correct level. Started the engine and the oil pressure light was off and the original problem of the engine throwing oil is now gone. WTF. We have had major situations with this rebuilt motor and went through 5 mechanics in the process. Before vacation I ordered a really hard to find new replacement engine for the skid steer. Should be here tomorrow. I got it for $3k and they sell for 5800. I got a good deal on the engine but it appears right now I won't need it. I told Sue to go balls to the wall on this motor because we have a backup when the need arises. No returns on the engine. It's ours, baby. Going to Boston in a little over a week. Next cruise in 6 weeks. ...... Ahhhhhhhh, all this pressure ......
This cruise was fun as usual. We slammed the casino for two straight days getting well ahead. Then Lady Luck took the casino's side and spanked us for three days straight. Two days minus three days equals minus 1 day. That's a negative balance and it was reflected in our losses. Oh well. There's always next time. (Gamblers are optimists.)
Sue had a medical situation half way through that the medical unit onboard got under control. She now has an order for an ultrasound to get a look at a mass just under her rib cage. And the beat goes on, the beat goes on .........

Well, I got some stuff done today, but not as much as I had hoped for. Was a really pretty day, temps well above freezing so melting was rampant. Almost all the snow is now gone.

City has started going around picking up tree limbs and storm damage.

I have a computer to work on in the morning and then lunch with the senior citizens. Thursday I go to the 'city' to help #3 GSs class with a field trip/project.

Tommy, prayers sent Sue's way, hoping that the mass is something that is easily remedied. Gris, you need a lift to get that thing up off the ground so you can clean it off while standing or sitting in a chair.
