Up to $750 right now, with 3 days left...

That's about 25 minutes from my house. Someone will get a good deal for a parts car.

I'd pay $750 just so I could drive/tow it to car shows and place this sign.

Be sure to go mudding in it before the show, and throw some garbage in it too.

Actually since it doesn't run you'll probably have to hike down to the creek and fill a 5-gallon bucket with mud and...

I dunno, what's useful on it? In my experience by that point the entire car is used up. The plastic is dried and cracked, the engine is worthless, the only thing you'd get much for is maybe the hood and front/rear suspension, and not much for those either.

Danspeed1, we need to do something with that massive sig of yours mate, can you stack the pics one under the other instead of side by side please?

Id pay $1,000 for that as it is now, with a paint job and a rebuilt engine as well as a few other little things i could sell that here for $20,000

I'd be surprised if it goes much higher. There's not much there for sure. BTW, did anyone notice that in the Q&A area below the description, he told a potential bidder that it's an L98 Crossfire? That's wrong of course.
I know where a slightly damaged '84 is that runs well and could be had for $1,000 or less. It's got a damn nice interior too.

Bastet just suggested it also needs the artistic plaque on easel with a list of all the problems. They are all done in some kinda script font, too.

I was thinking the same.

It's an 84 with a 4+3 and other unknown options - Z51? If so, it becomes rather rare, really. They only made 6500 of the 51k made in 84 with the manual... toss in the Z51 package, and it gets even more desireable as a future collectable.

From that perspective alone it's worth preserving.

Maybe, but so what? An '84 has a D36 behind the manual, not a good thing. Also, the '84 had an overly stiff suspension in standard form. The last option I'd want in an '84 would be Z51. Someone might be interested but it ain't me. I'm not raggin' on '84s, I think their uniqueness is cool. But I'm just saying...,..

I agree on all those points, but it doesn't lessen the fact that it is a 1984 manual. That makes it POTENTIALLY desireable. I could see in another 10 years these become somewhat collectable. First years always have a little bump.

Remember, collections are static with occasional driving. This is just that type of car. Drive it once a month to keep it fresh after resto. Sometimes, we look at them as daily drivers and not all are.

It's getting to the point were GS's are no longer daily drivers... their value is going up...

Id take it for all those reasons, rebuilt to stock, an 84 wouldnt break a DANA 36 on the street unless you really abused it.

Wheels are half decent.

If you got a crunched car, you could transfer over parts.

Turn it into a track car with a cheapo paint job.

Suspension would be nice on a hot rod.

Hood - $300

Glass top looks great - $400

Wheels - $200

Front bumper - $100

Rear bumper cover - $100

There's your current bid plus some. There may be a few hundred bucks in the motor, too. If I had the space to store it I'd consider it, I'm always crunching body panels on the track.

I'll speak for the NCRS market...

...the market for 1984 Z51 4+3 cars is pretty well satisfied by cars massively nicer than this one.

no question, but if one was to preserve an 84, this is the one to preserve.

Closing price was just over $1502.00

That would be a project worth following, whether it's a build up or tear down.
